Someday, you're gonna start watching an Amaury Guichon video and at the very beginning of it, he'll just be standing seemingly unmoving for like half a second and you'll think "he looks a little weird." Then it'll cut to him working on his latest sculpture which will have you wondering wtf he is making for like at least 6 minutes. Slowly you start to realise that it's a life size chocolate statue of a person. A minute or two later and you'll realise it isn't just any person; it's him. He's making a replica of himself out of chocolate, and then you'll realise why he looked a little weird at the beginning of the video. That wasn't him at all. It was the chocolate statue. Or was it? Has he himself secretly been made out of chocolate the whole time? Probably.
A master in his craft, Truffelor has been making chocolates with magical properties for a number of centuries. Nothing brings him joy quite like experimenting with a new recipe. Over in the Dream Kingdom, he sells his wares to adventurers of all kinds, from regular treats to something more magical to put a little pep in your step! Over at The Sweet Spot, you can find things that will help you clear dungeons, heal the wounded, raise mana, disguise yourself to get through treachery, and more!
He hoards cookbooks from across the ages, spanning from the time of the Ancients to modern day. Ask him about the history of a recipe, and he will be all too delighted to share it with you. Frankly, he's something of a relic himself, in that he is the creator of the Dream Fork and other assorted magical cutlery. The spoon he wields is one such instrument. It pairs nicely with his see-through wizard's hat, which is filled to the brim with a custom liquid chocolate blend that he can use both on the battlefield and in everyday practical use.
He's a kind soul, but he can get a bit mischievous when the time calls for it. Being a master in his craft, he does have a little bit of an ego, but if you flatter him enough, he'll be putty in your hands. Nothing makes him smile quite like the satisfaction of someone wholeheartedly enjoying his sweets.
In relation to other characters seen on this blog:
When Magolor and Bobbin returned from their adventure in Another Dimension, they were spat out in the Dream Kingdom (per the ending of Magolor Epilogue). He was the first to happen upon them and invited them in for hot cocoa. Bobbin has been trying to reverse engineer his recipe ever since (she is a massive hot cocoa lover). One day, I hope they take some time to study together, as I feel like their mix would be really interesting to explore. Truffelor has since helped Magolor with some lodgings connected to his shop, and the two are steadily getting to know each other.
Havoc is also a frequent presence at The Sweet Spot. Seeing as they are trying to build the funds for a new set of metal legs, they're a frequent taste tester whenever Truffelor is trying a new recipe. The two have a surprisingly cute and close friendship. Surprising in that several centuries ago, they were at each other's throats in the throes of battle, with Havoc having stolen some magic from Truffelor, and him vowing revenge. If you saw them now, you'd never know they had that history.
