I finally finished Choices and I don't think I'll ever feel that way about a story again. Not a fanfic, or a book, a movie or whatever
Choices was so deep and absurdly well written at every turn. The absurd terror of war, the unconditional love of the Marauders and the nostalgic happiness of Hogwarts days. The jokes! Their dialogues seemed so real, like conversations rather than writing. I almost went crazy with so many feelings, so much passion and despair following one another
Honestly, this completely changed my brain chemistry. I understand the valid criticisms of the fandom, especially about the sexual abuse being used as a plot device, but honestly this story will be special to me forever
In other words, I can't stop crying. Can you believe there's a sequel??? I can't wait to cry more!
(Ps. I'll be reading a lot more fics now that I'm back in the fandom. I just don't put Choices in my top 3 because I know this fandom will still surprise me a lot.
