A Surprise
teeny tiny modern AU drabble about a birthday party. I wrote something depressing earlier, so I flip-flopped it with something very wholesome!
im not too worried about typos cause its 4 AM!!
💍📓🎨👽 for Choisya Rey
Sorry for the delay, if there was any. I didn’t get a notification of this ask!
💍 Does your OC have a specific item that is priceless to them but may (or may not) be completely worthless to someone else? Is there a story behind this item or is it just because they like it so much?A hair tie someone made for him out of leaves and leather around the time he emerged. Choisya has made good use of it over the years and although it’s close to breaking or just giving up, Choisya treasures it and uses it as much as he can. The story behind it that the person who made it for him was a Charr cub named Jules. Jules had been caught in a pretty bad fire that Choisya had rescued him from. Choisya spent a lot of time bonding with Jules through the cub’s recovery and became like an older-brother to him. The hair tie was put together pretty shoddily, but Choisya cherished and used it all the same.
📓 Write a typical diary/journal page by your OC! (or if you’d rather not, describe their journal. Do they keep one, why?)I didn’t previously consider it but Choisya keeping a journal is so in-character. Choisya likes to write down all the negative things he’s experienced throughout the day, followed by everything good. He hopes that someday in the future when he’s old, he’ll come across his old journals and revel the memories, even if they’re small.
🎨 Is your OC artistic? Can they draw or paint or do they prefer another medium? Are they a writer or musician or do they do something else? Give us a quick run down of what they can get creative with! The best Choisya can do is doodle, nothing breathtaking, but it makes him smile. He likes to doodle the different animals or wildlife he finds, but his drawings aren’t very detailed so it’s hard to tell what it is and he has to label them.
👽 Describe your OC as if they were an urban legend or myth!“They say there is a man, a Sylvari, who’s heart was so enormous that he would throw himself intoa million years of danger to save a handful of souls. They say he radiated so much warmth and comfortthat even the bleakest days felt likethey had some sunshine after all. The snow he walked on melted, the ground he traveled healed in his wake. They say even Jormag fears this man, that he was capable of healing Frostbrood with an embrace. His limitless capacity for love, however, was his undoing.”
Today’s #oneadayplant post is deliberately misleading. At 1st glance it could easily be Clematis montana ‘Alba’, then you should notice that it has 5 petals instead of 4. Choisya are known to flower well, but have lost a bit of their popularity from the 1990s-2000s. . Fortunately, most of the plants planted then are now at their zenith in terms of growth and flower power. This is the big standard Choisya ternata (Mexican Orange Blossom). . While I prefer the finer leaves forms, I do like the green-leaved over the yellow-leaves cultivars. This species is tough and robust and anything that reliably flowers in spring and then again in autumn is a winner in my book. . #evergreen #shrub #choisya #mexican #mexicanorangeblossom #flowers #spring #autumn #iplantsman #tough #plants #massesofflower #gardening #gardenista #plantingadvice #gardeningtips #gardendesign (at Crowborough, East Sussex) https://www.instagram.com/p/CApPhnTAW4S/?igshid=1xbiw2dsvibcf
