Context: Chrissy never died and she’s in college. You asked her out on a date because you couldn’t get her pretty smile out of your head.

⭑ Picking her up in your car; you got out to open the door for her and she shyly smiled at you. 

⭑ Her blonde hair was half up, half down with a silk bow. 

⭑ She looked gorgeous. And your heart fluttered a little. 

⭑ You had a lot of tapes in your car - your music taste reached all corners of the genres. 

⭑ She picked the tape titled ‘Dreamy,’ 

   “Can I put this one in?” Her sweet voice was angelic. 

“Oh - yeah of course!” You replied, somewhat exasperated. Anxiety had your heart beating so fast that you thought it would punch through your chest. 

⭑ You pulled into the Art Gallery, Chrissy’s face lighting up with excitement. That was something not a lot of people knew about her; she absolutely adored art. Her favourite artists being Sandro Botticelli,  Frederic Leighton, and John William Waterhouse. 

⭑ You could have spent hours watching Chrissy’s excited face. She pulled you over to each one, telling you about the colours and background. She was so informative, so knowledgable. 

   “People should give you more credit,” you whispered. It was so quiet in the gallery, one could quite literally hear a pin drop.

    “What do you mean?” Her blue eyes gazed into your own. 

 “You know, there’s just ... way more ... then what meets the eye with you. You’re really interesting.” 

⭑ Chrissy was practically blushing the entire time 

⭑ You would be walking side by side and your hands gently bumping next to each other. 

⭑ Slowly Chrissy would reach out and entwine her fingers into your own. 

⭑ Afterwards, you got coffee, and she had a milkshake. You talked and talked and talked. 

⭑ It felt so easy with her. Like you’d known each other for years. Even though it had been a few months. 

⭑ You learned so much about her. Her favourite colour (pastel yellow), her favourite song (Dreams by Fleetwood Mac), her favourite movie (The Breakfast Club)

⭑ Dropping her home, she promised to call you after dinner. And she did, and you spoke for hours.

Inspired by this post but I didn't want to attach fandom stuff and derail.

This is, of course, an AU where they both live because I don't wanna be sad! 🙃

Chrissy's grandma is witchy and she LOVES it. But her parents hate that she's so into that stuff. Like her mom went straight laced because it embarrassed her and she wanted to be normal but Chrissy is absolutely fascinated by her grandma who reads bones and grows her own herbs and talks to her dead grandfather all the time.

Little Chrissy is sitting across the table from her Nana having her palm read. (If that's not accurate for these kinds of predictions/readings I'm sorry and feel free to correct me.)

"I see a man in your future. A deep, strong, all consuming kind of love. He wears the devil's face but his heart is kind once you choose to see it."

She remembers that night and she keeps those words close to her heart. Fast forward to the day she goes to Eddie in the forest. He's so soft and shy and goofy. He's not at all the cocky, scary guy she expected and she can't help but feel her heart race a little. Then she looks down at his shirt, the hellfire club, and it knocks all the air out of her chest.

"He wears the devil's face," she whispers to herself. Eddie looks at her, curious because he can't make out what she said. Chrissy just starts laughing and Eddie's even more confused but she's just so pretty when she laughs that he can't help smiling too.

"Would you like to go to dinner sometime?"

"W-wha?! I-i... Yeah! Absolutely! But uh, aren't you with Jason?"

"Not for long."

a few of my chrissy headcanons because why not!

• she loves poetry and reads it constantly

• has scrunchies that match every outfit she has. red, blue, light pink, hot pink, yellow.. every color to match any outfit

• is an outgoing, social butterfly but her social battery drains sometimes and she needs to get away from people asap when that happens

• she’s the most positive, glass-half-full kinda gal. even if things look bleak and sad she can find the positive in things. in mean people she finds the good in them.

• despite her issues at home she’s always got a smile on her face :) she tries to uplift others because she doesn’t get that with her mom

• her dad is a decent guy, just doesn’t have the back bone to stand up to her mother so he lets her steam roll over him and chrissy

• she was friends with billy hargrove. i said it. deal with it. she would’ve been friends with him because she would be the type to have something sarcastic said to her and she would quip back with a response that takes billy aback. he’d be impressed and respect her after that.

• she’s had a crush on eddie munson since she saw him at the talent show in middle school. she saw him rocking out on stage and immediately went all heart eyes for him. since then she’s been watching him from afar, too afraid to talk to him in fear of public rejection from her peers. it makes her guilty but she can’t handle being rejected by the people in school.

So drawing today’s Syaoran month image made me remember a thought I had a while back. In episode 32, Sakura asked Kero why Clow created the CHANGE card, and he said Clow was “a mighty strange fellow”. Lol. So here’s my theory…

My head canon is that Clow saw two people arguing one day, maybe Kero and Yue, and he thought “Wouldn’t it be nice if they could understand each other a bit better and see from a different perspective?”, and thus the CHANGE card was created. This is also why the spell cannot be broken until they have spent at least 24 hours in each other’s shoes and must embrace to return back to normal, essentially a forced “hug each other and make up” sort of deal. Haha!

But knowing Clow, it probably also doubled as a way to have some serious shenanigans.

Brain - To say you have a tendency to overthink things would be an understatement of the century. It’s the only way you can function. Spending more time with your thoughts than others because they simply don’t understand. How can you make them understand? The answer is, you can’t. Some people are beyond logic and reason, but that doesn’t mean they are lost. You are the one who is more lost than they ever are, hemming and hawing over all the choices that you don’t need to. To tell you to ignore it though and to trust your instinct would be nothing short of a waste. Stay with your thoughts, but it will not give you peace of mind.

Chrissy

Eyes - You see everything, and understand what must be done in order to forgo suffering, noticing the silence of others and people thought to be insignificant in the grander schemes. Nothing can escape your watchful eye. A powerful thing to be indeed, but omniscient does not mean omnipotent. Cassandra too saw a bloody future that her people refused to acknowledge, saw the red string of fate that tied her painful future with her inevitable death, but lacked the power to stop the burning fires of Troy. You are burdened with a great gift. Do not avert your gaze, do not look back, do not close your eyes. See it all, be the witness. Even if that’s all you can do.

Teeth always rot and fall out, and when that day comes, you will be weak and defenceless, muzzled and useless. So while you can, look to the cameras and give us a big smile.

Lungs - Breathe in. The ability to breathe is almost completely reflexive, and like most things, it comes to you naturally, with little effort or meaning. Many of the diseases that affect the lungs are hereditary, is there some unknown family trauma there? Something someone wasn’t telling you? If we only inhale, we die. If we only exhale, we die. We need both. You have mastered that tactful dance, at least, until something unexpected comes knocking. Something that steals your breath away, that pries your oh so precious air from your lungs and leaves you cold, winded and alone. A collapsed lung cannot kill you, but it aches more than broken bone, it’s sticky and bloody and cloying. You can recover though. You always have. Breathe out.

Rosemary

Heart - A heart in a cynical sense feels nothing, it simply carries through all the blood, all the oxygen, all the components the other parts that do feel need. An ugly organ, misshapen and strange when held in the palm of your hand. Yet, it is the centre of your being. It is the core. Even when you try to act unaffected, it is your heart that gives you away, skipping a beat, fluttering in excitement, halting dead in terror. You have so much of it to give, you just haven’t learned to discern who is and isn’t worthy of it yet. Hold onto it. Do not whittle it down, carve names into the flesh that you cannot erase. Remain patient, remain astute, and remain loving.
