A collage of the only way I can possibly describe how Lucifer feels to me as an empath.
The bottom row represents when he's in one of his classic "moods". If you know, you know.
He feels like the warmth of flames and the early morning rays of sunshine you'd get after a rough overnight storm, the beams just barely peaking through the clearing clouds as the trouble gets ushered away almost seemingly by his light. And on a not so serious note, he also feels like those sour nerds gummy clusters, most likely because of his sass and spunk, I presume.
Stinky, nasty boy. He's such a goofball, always making flirtatious cracks at me and being a mischievous "little" dude. He's made up this game specifically for me just to brighten my day where he points out any even remotely penis shaped objects, and I genuinely try to guess every time he's like "Look!" if he's going to do it or not, but even he doesn't know when he'll see one, so half of the time it's just a normal observation that he wants to point out to me, so I can't just ignore him... Not that I would anyway, I quite enjoy this silly little game, it makes me laugh. That's why he made it up, by the way, he confessed after weeks of me bugging him about it that it was because he knew it would make me laugh (I think peens are shaped funny, they remind me of those clams that make holes on beaches that will spit water out at you if you pour some in their dens.) and that he simply loves to make me smile. He says my laughter is like music to his poor, "depressed" ears.. Naughty boy. Suuuch an attention seeker! (Said lovingly in a teasing way.) But every time he points to one, I look, only to scoff and smack him on the pec as he giggles his large, hulkingly tall ass off because it's yet another dick he's somehow managed to spot in someone's very shadowy ceiling paint. Absolute god tier pester-er, he's lovely.

When are we gonna start treating the Christian god and Saint the same way we treat pagans gods? The bible is a mythologic book, mythology came from humans mind, nothing in the bible is actually true and you're not suppose to belive everything, the same way someone can worship athena despise all the myth around her. Also, God or Yeshua aren't responsable for your bad action so stop blaming it on them. Don't use them to justify a hateful human trought.

Spiritual Defense and Protection Methods
How to test if that entity is actually who you think they are
Basics on setting intentions and manifesting
(Very beginner / baby witch friendly! <3)
Protection sigils, how to make them, where to put them:
If you don't have one, that's more than okay, they're incredibly simple to make. Just go online (Youtube) and search up how to make them, it'll take maximum 15 minutes of your time. (Never look one up online and use it instead of making one of your own out of laziness, a lot of the time, they're negative sigils that are made specifically to harm people. It's incredibly dangerous, do not do it.) You can slap them anywhere and everywhere and it's well worth the effort in the long run.
Just cleanse your home in some way beforehand, most commonly people smudge with sage or palo santo wood or sweep with the set intention of cleansing negative energy from the home, then set an intention whenever you use your trusty sigil to be doubly sure that you're good and protected (We'll get into how to set intentions later on, but that part is not necessarily necessary for this particular thing, it depends on how you made it, for what kind of protection, and how thoroughly worded and or thought out your method was), and you'll be golden!
For protection of the home:
The best places to put them are windows, doors, fireplaces, oven vents, and air vents (Points of possible entry), but you can have one for the protection of the whole home if you wanted, I'm just overzealous and don't like taking chances. If you really want to be safe though, add all of those and then slap one down for the whole home too, so you have a hefty backup just in case.
For protection of divination objects:
Do the same with them. Set an intention and put a sigil on there after smudging or cleansing them in some way. (If the items in question are connected to an entity or are on an altar, we'll get into how to do all that in the 'possession objects' chapter right under this one.)
Possession objects, how to properly protect them, different methods of protection, and how deity sigils work:
I cannot stress enough how important it is to have a sigil of your very own to use to protect anything involving possession objects, such as statues, candles, toys, and divination objects connected to entities, like tarot cards, pendulums, and even the altars or shrines themselves... really anything of the sort needs to be protected. If you don't do this, anything can get in there and mess with the things in question, they can even completely ruin divination readings.
How deity sigils work:
And deity sigils? Well, think of the sigils more as an invitation rather than a definite assurance of the being's presence. To summarize, it's like if you sent a party invitation to a friend, because that's really all it is, an invite. Sure, these beings can sense it, they might peek over there and see the object that you've marked, but unless they claim said object as their own and you confirm they had and that they're bound to it now either via intuition, divination, ect, it remains just as unprotected as before if it's not protected by the entity itself (You should still add a protection sigil even if it is claimed), it's just now you've left a kind little offer for said being to claim it if they want to, you know? You still have to protect it.
And yes, the sigils are associated with said being, and they do bear their energy to a certain extent, and it does invoke their energy when you mark something with their sigils (To them, it feels as though they were 'poked energetically', is the best explanation I've gotten from them thus far), but that doesn't mean the object is now associated or connected to them in any way just because you marked something with it, the decision is still completely up to the entity in question. Some people think it's a one and done sort of ordeal, and it's not. Please keep that in mind when you throw them up all over the place, and keep in mind that not every sigil that is supposedly 'associated' with said beings really is, some of them are fakes. Use your intuition to fish out the real ones or ask someone who works with them which to use.
How to add a protection sigil or deity sigil to an object:
First, look up a historical item connected to the being you're trying to and or actually working with (if you can), such as a statue or a tapestry, and use your intuition to feel out which one is most connected to the figure, then hone in on that energy and set the intention that only that specific being may possess, alter, or interact with said object as you carve or mark the sigil onto whatever it is you need it on, and that's that. See, if you just set the intention that, for example, 'Only Apollo may interact with or possess this item' That's not even remotely detailed enough and has many backdoors for entities to mess with.
Backdoor examples for if you don't set the intention correctly:
Say this entity has an egregore from a TV show or a movie, technically speaking, that being is the entity in question, just a different version. That's why it's so important for you to hone in on the specific entity themselves from the historical monuments to avoid happenings like this occurring.
Not to mention, if a being happens to be truly deluded and genuinely believes themself to be said entity and believes it with their entire heart and soul, technically, they're not lying when they claim that they are said entity because to them, they are, thus it makes it true, and they may enter. It's kind of like they manifest it in a way... that's the best way I can explain it, anyhow.
Gemstones for protection:
Personally, I believe that gemstones have souls just like trees and many other plants and that you should kindly ask if they'd be willing to help you protect your home, an item, or yourself. You may find that they're a lot more willing to help when you actually bother to ask and that their energy is a lot more potent if you do so (Because you're not stealing it when you do it this way, they're giving it to you willingly in exchange for proper care and maintenance for themselves), and in exchange for them protecting or healing you, keep them properly cleaned and charged as a sort of tit for tat, if you will. They also appreciate it when you occasionally praise them for doing well, it makes them feel very pleased, indeed.
How do I tell if my gemstones are content:
When a gemstone is happy, the specific energy they let off has a small undertone of that as well (It's the same for if they're sad or angry, too. In fact, their energy might even get weaker if they're discontent or upset), the best way I can describe it if I had to is 'like a sunbeam dancing around a sweet ice cream cone', warm and sugary... Though each will feel a bit different based on their own personality, that's just the best explanation I have for such a feeling as a 'coverall' sort of thing.
As for charging and cleaning them, that's based entirely on the type of gemstone they are. Some do better with sunlight or sun-charged water, some with moonlight or moon-charged water, some shouldn't be in water at all, and some do better in water... it just depends, you know?
The best solution I have for all gemstones that works pretty good and accomplishes both at the same time is just setting them nearby (Even if it's a table away, it still works, only slower) a salt lamp, the salt purifies and rejuvenates their energy. But some shouldn't be too close to the salt, so be careful with how close you put them. You don't even have to set an intention for it, it just does it own thing naturally. It's a lovely lamp to have, really, I recommend having multiple in your home.
Also, here's a tip for storing them, do not crowd them together in a sack or a box, a few in one is okay, but too many will become annoying to them after a while (Because they clank into one another and it can scuff them up after a while depending on the type of gemstone they are), especially if some of them don't get along with one another. You can ask them via divination or use your intuition to check if your storing situation is okay and if they're content or if they need some changes. You can also communicate with them in general like that as well.
Essential oils for protection:
Sadly there are people out there that just smear essential oils (Without setting an intention, mind you) all over stuff and carve an entity's sigil into a candle and call it a day (Also without an intention like I've expained above) and that's not how it works at all. That's a very good way of getting tricked. That's not protection, that's a loose, moist band-aid of a solution.
Even if you covered your walls, furniture, and floors in essential oils, all that would do without a set intention as you do so is annoy malicious / ill-intentioned beings. Yes, lavender does have a tendency to ward off evil spirits... but when done without an intention, it's a mild repellent, not a for sure protectant. That doesn't stop powerful problematic beings from coming in anyway.
How it works if you don't set an intention:
It's like if you went to your grandma's house and it smelled very potently of mothballs, but you really wanted those delicious cookies... you're most likely going to go in anyway. Yes, it bothers them, it can even burn some entities depending on what they are, but it won't stop them entirely if they're ancient or powerful... or both. It's an inconvenience to powerful beings at best, just as the smell of mothballs in your granny's house would be to you.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, I'm sure if you smeared enough essential oils around that were strong-smelling enough, nothing would want to be in your home… including your friends, family, and anyone else you know. No one would want to come into your place then, they'd pretty much say, 'Fuck that, this isn't worth all that' and piss off. And you? You'd probably be passed out somewhere or at the very least lightheaded from all the fumes.
How to use essential oils, holy water, and Latin exorcism prayers for protection:
Don't just smear the damn things everywhere, if you really want to cleanse your space, energy, or protect your home with them, add them to a spray with the set intention of protection and cleansing, the spray being made with preferably at least three quarters of holy water. Holy water is an amplifier for the oils' energy and makes them much more potent, up to (Guesstimated, though it really helps) 3x more powerful if done correctly.
Making holy water:
Make the holy water yourself, just follow a tutorial online (Youtube), it's not that hard, it's pretty much just a prayer and some salt, then as you're finishing up making it, set the intention that it shall cleanse your home of all evil and amplify your oils' natural warding properties (Which are usually barely active, if I'm being honest). If you really want to piss in something's cornflakes, though, add some crushed up pieces of sage or a silver cross into the mix, that'll really fucking piss them off.
Using a Latin exorcism prayer to cleanse the home:
(This is also found on YouTube, I know, shocker) It'll make anything ill-intentioned livid, however, it will make whatever it is leave (And most likely make a mild mess before they go), so you can sigil up your space to prevent any further rude visitors and to prevent those bastards from coming back. Just make sure that if you're aware of any entities in your home that you're friendly with and don't mind having around to politely explain the situation and that you just want some clarity or that there's a problematic entity running around, and they should be alright with it, and hopefully not offended when you explain yourself. Otherwise, if you don't explain well enough, you look like an ass assuming they're evil.
When you do this, play it for a few hours or at least until you've babyproofed your home with sigils or what not, and don't let it turn off until then. And this should go without saying, but play it loudly.
How to tell if the entity I'm talking to is in fact who I think it is:
This one can be a bit tricky for some people, but luckily it's not too difficult to learn when there are many methods of doing so on the table. First things first, I'm hoping you have all your protection methods up and did all the things correctly the first go around and that you're not currently battling beings that you thought were the entities you were hoping to work with, but aren't, and learned so by the previous general protection methods listed above. If so, it will make things a lot easier! If not, then fuck all I guess, you'll have to go the hard route and go handle all that before reading anymore of this chapter.
By comparing an entity's known behavior (Whether it be from said entity's history or from other Wiccans' experiences) with what you're seeing and experiencing (Note: Lots of entities have chilled out over the years, they're not as violent):
Now, let's talk about the Gods' behaviours in particular since this is one of the easiest ways to tell if they are who they say they are. We'll talk about what exactly to look out for positively (Some similar movements all actual deities seem to have) and then negatively later on in some alternate methods in this chapter (Faker behaviour).
I'll use Apollo's and Hermes' movements and personalities for reference, since most everyone knows of them or has worked with them at some point. Good lord, meeting Apollo is practically an unavoidable event, he's so friendly. It's like you blink and now you know him.
Movements all deities have:
Their movements are swift, precise, and graceful, they give almost an uncanny sort of feel if you watch them do their own thing for long enough. Some gods aren't as bad about this due to being around humanity for so long, they kind of learned some of their mannerisms and tend to tone it down when in the presence of humans so as to not startle them too much and to be more approachable, and as such, they don't move too oddly most of the time... But their movements are still rather odd, despite this.
Because of their omnipotence, they know exactly where an object is and what will happen as they reach for it. So let's say, for example, that Anubis reached for a glass of milk (He asked specifically that I use milk instead of something he'd logically normally be reaching for, such as a glass of red wine, in case a child reads this. He's such a dad, I love him. <3), the motion would be very sudden, fluid, confident, and precise, unlike that of a being that is not omnipotent, such as a mischievous entity or a human. Now a mischievous entity's (And our) movements would often be pretty much the polar opposite of theirs, hesitant and broken as they looked around for said thing they were searching for, not nearly as fast from them not being as strong physically as a deity nor as sure of themselves nor as coordinated as they reached for it... It's actually pretty telling when it's not a deity you're with if you have the gifts or skills to be able to see them.
Know that some entities do move quickly like them... but said movements are never quite as precise as a god's movements would be.
Also, angels move the same way deities do, however, it's 10x worse than theirs and far more jarring because they never try to be more approachable at all because, if I'm being honest, they don't care enough to, and they're not going to change themselves for anybody. (Good for them! They're lovely, strong souls. <3)
Example of Apollo's movements and behaviour:
Apollo, for a specific example, is not nearly as bad as his brother when it comes to uncanny movements since he's always been pretty involved with humanity, but he still exhibits unusually precise and just a touch too fast motions despite all the time he spends with his followers. (Sorry buddy, I still love you even though you're a strange fellow and an oddball. It gives you character. </3) Don't get me wrong, he still has his moments where he's just as bad as Hermes, like when he turns his head to the side way too quickly and settles his gaze on something instantaneously, unlike most other beings whose eyes usually wander a bit before settling on a spot, but it's usually not that bad. He also tends to be very gentle with things, like when carrying items or hugging someone, he has an incredibly light touch... he's such a sweetheart.
Apollo is charismatic, kind, giving, a bit of a shy goofball, and a big nerd (said teasingly) that likes comic books a lot, he also loves most anything TMNT related. He loves talking to people and he likes when people play with his hair a whole lot, he finds it soothing. And he loves most anything chocolate related, much like his brother, he could eat it all day, any day. He also enjoys most pastas!
Example of Hermes' movements and behaviour:
Hermes, on the other hand, is a bit shy (Despite his charismatic tendencies), he's rather reclusive (Which Apollo weirdly enough is as well despite his outgoing friendiness, he just likes his private life to stay private. He has his days, everyone has their days... but he's a bit bipolar though, but that's an explanation for another time), and he's a bit of a nervous nelly, so he doesn't often interact with humanity unless called upon. And you can see his anxiousness in his movements, though he is the speedster of the Greek gods and is naturally faster than most gods a good portion of the time anyway, nervous speed is a whole different ballpark entirely. He moves as if he's either ready to run around the room to get the zoomies out from any emotion he feels too strongly or as if he's going to bolt from the slightest hint of motion, much like a puffed-up cat on high alert. Hermes doesn't just move quickly, he thinks quickly and he processes the world quickly, and as such, he's naturally overthinking all the time, and half of the time he's freaking the ever-living shit out because of it. (He's like a little anxious supernova over there. A ping-pong ball bouncing off the walls like he's 'Coo coo for Cocoa Puffs!' I love that nutty, chocolate-hungry squirrel. What a dork-ola! <3)
If Hermes were looking for something, he'd do about the same thing as any deity would, simply look to the side directly and instantaneously at said item before grabbing it with a single, swift motion... only he moves far swifter than the average deity, and it shows... often in a blur.
Hermes is charismatic, a bit reserved (Especially when around large groups of people, he'll kind of go off by himself), yet he's also talkative despite his shyness. He's a prankster that just wants to get a good laugh out of everyone, he has horrible puns that make me laugh personally, and he loves Hamburger Helper and also really any kind of marshmallow, but especially square-shaped ones (Because they're fancy), and he is (Just a touch) food-driven. He burns off a lot of calories, he needs the food! (Seriously, that's why) He also adores chocolate!
The looking into their eyes method (This won't work as well if you haven't looked into a deity's eyes before and know the exact feeling they give off if you stare for too long already, but it works in a pinch!):
Another interesting way to tell if they're really a god is to look into their eyes for an extended period of time. (Both beings mentioned above as examples will stare back even after you look away just to harass. Apollo occasionally will give a bothered sigh if you ask too often to do this, he finds repetitive reassurance unnecessary, and Hermes can and will move suddenly to spook you, it's practically inevitable.) (Apollo will also do this sometimes if you have a tough skin) (You can see in Hermes' eyes that he's going to do something just before he moves to startle you, you just never know what or if he'll actually go through with it, only that he's thinking very hard about it. Maybe he won't move at all and he'll just leave you guessing just to mess with you, wouldn't be the first time he's done stuff like that to pester) This gives an immense sense of possible danger, setting off primal instincts long since buried. But do note, they only feel like they could hurt you if they wanted to, like they're powerful enough to, they do not feel inherently evil or mean-spirited or like they will harm you.
If they feel even remotely off, get them out IMMEDIATELY because it's not them! They only give the sense of possible danger because they pretty much feel as if they could crush you with their thumb, if they feel as though they may actually hurt you or want to, it's not a deity!
The thrice methods / Making them say the lord's name thrice / Asking them to tell you their name or who they are thrice:
Just make them say the lord's name "Jesus" or the original Hebrew version of his name "Yeshua" three times in a row, unbroken. If they can do it, then they're not an evil entity or a demon. If they can't, then get them the hell out because all deities can say such.
For the next method, you ask the entity to tell you who they are three times in a row because supposedly entities cannot lie thrice. I have not tested this one properly, as all the entities I have tested it on have been who they said they were, so take that as you will. I'm not entirely sure if it works, but based on the fact it involves the lord's number, three, I assume it probably would, so I'm listing it anyway. I just wanted to inform you of that in case you don't want to take the chance of it not working.
There's two ways of doing this method, here's the first way:
Explain politely and kindly that you're going to test them for clarity sake, then look up a historical monument, statue, piece of art, ect, connected to the being you want to ask who they are. Then, as you ask three times, unbroken after each answer from them, make sure to have that specific historical artifact and that specific being in mind as you do so. If they can answer you all three times, they're who they say they are. If they make up an excuse like 'this is stupid' or 'this is offensive to me, I'm not doing this', then they aren't.
The second way:
Explain politely and kindly that you're going to test them for clarity sake, then ask them to tell you who they are three times in a row, unbroken. Simply ask and listen, if they don't do it a third time, then kick them out.
And remember, you can always do both of these methods twice in a row just to make doubley sure they're lying and not just being an ass.
Using a Latin exorcism prayer to fish out fakers or beings that wish to use you (Even if they are deities or who they say they are that are 'using you'):
Play a Latin exorcism prayer for like two hours on YouTube, loudly, with the set intention of ridding all evil and beings trying to use you in any way, shape, or form from your home and life.
Yeah, that really pisses shit off, you'll know if something's off for sure then. Fuckin' hell, they'll make a mess or have a whole pity party crash out about it.
Know that this will kick out deities too if they truly were only out to use you for something, just keep that in mind. I personally wouldn't want anything to do with said deities if they were using me, but you know, you do you, I suppose.
And know that some deities do occasionally pretend to be other deities in order to get things they want (Followers, attention, sex, ect). Though this is a super rare occurrence and only a handful of them have ever been caught doing this in history and over the years, so don't go pointing fingers at every deity, only some, VERY FEW, are that immoral. But it does happen occasionally, hence why it's important to add that final part of the intention to truly know for sure that you aren't being used in some way.
Mark every corner of every room with holy water with the intention of keeping out all malicious, evil, and mischievous entities (excluding the entities you're friends with, like if you're buddies with Hermes or Loki, they're considered mischievous, so make sure to set the intention that they can still get in) and see what happens:
Each title keeps getting longer and longer. But genuinely, it's that easy. However, many people struggle with setting intentions, especially detailed ones, so it's not the easiest way and requires a bit of practice to do if you're a new.
How to set an intention and how basic manifesting works if you don't know how to or what that means:
Simply decide that it's going to work with your entire being, just decide it will happen. That's genuinely all there is to it, that's an intention.
That's also how manifesting works too, it's just setting an intention for long term and deciding that whatever you deserve and or something you want will come to you eventually or at a certain date if you're ballsy enough to try to rush the system, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't (And if it does, there's always a price). It's the same thing, but one is done long-term and the other short-term (Usually).
What exactly is manifesting:
Basically, with manifesting, it's like giving the universe a little folded note with your desire scribbled on it, and the universe stares at it for a moment, then looks back at you and your excited little face, and after a moment of thought finally says 'Okay, you've been pretty good recently, you can have this' much like a parent would for their child at a grocery store when they bring a giant tub of ice cream to them that takes up like the entirety of their arms and seemed like such a chore lugging over there to them.
You only get good karma if you deserve it, you only get your desires if you deserve the payout. People try to play the system all the time, it never works. Either it simply won't happen period because you tried to control the will of the world, or if the universe happens to decide to let whoever have whatever they wanted when they didn't deserve it, something bad will happen to them to even out the karma distribution. It could be anything from said thing being deformed in some way or slightly broken to you getting a very severe illness and being knocked on your ass for a few weeks to a few months. It could be anything that gets sent your way to even out the karma, there is no limit. A lot of people aren't aware of that when they do this and then wonder why something horrible happened after they received what they wanted. You didn't deserve it, you pissed off the system, don't piss off the system.
Some methods for setting intentions and manifesting:
Most people use vision boards (Pictures cut out of magazines or printed pictures of what they want to happen that they glue or tape onto a piece of cardboard or stock paper) or write down intentions on a piece of paper, then fold it and keep it somewhere safe to manifest things into the world! (They decide said things will happen as they do so, don't forget that part, it's important)
I hope this helped someone out there! Stay kind and stay safe! Have a wonderful day! :) (I apologize if my explanations weren't detailed enough, I know they're kind of all over the place and a tad rambly. But hey, at least I tried my best!)
Did a deck interview with my newest deck- Ethereal Visions. She clearly told me that she doesn’t mess around with double meaning and the best way to work with her is to take her at her word and not overthink. I can’t wait to continue to work with this deck and hope to continue to grow in the art.
