The film the Last Chase had a release date of April 10, 1981. The film was converted from a manuscript for a book by Christopher Crowe. The events of the film took place in 2011. In 2011, gas powered personal vehichles were banned by the totalitarian government. A former race car driver named Franklyn Hart (Lee Majors) rebuilt his car, stole some gas, and sped off with a teen (Chris Makepeace) toward California, which had broken away. The government, fearing this act of rebellion might start a revolt, sent former air fighter Captain J.G. Williams (Burgess Meredith) in a jet to take him out. Some of the nudity was edited out of the theatrical release to secure a PG rating. The movie was riffed by Mystery Science Theater 3000 during their first public access KTMA season. Fear will be reissued on Blu-ray on March 7 via Mill Creek Entertainment. The 1996 psychological thriller comes with a retro VHS slipcover.

James Foley (Glengarry Glen Ross) directs from a script by Christopher Crowe (The Last of the Mohicans). Mark Wahlberg, Reese Witherspoon, William Petersen, Alyssa Milano, and Amy Brenneman star.

When 16-year-old Nicole Walker (Reese Witherspoon) meets 23-year-old David McCall (Mark Wahlberg) at a Seattle nightclub, she falls in love. David is exciting and charming, and despite the wide age gap, he wins over Nicole's family -- except for her workaholic father, Steven (William Petersen), who's suspicious of David from the start. His concerns are realized when David turns out to be a violent sociopath who sees Nicole as his possession, and her family home a fortress to be invaded.

Manhattan psychiatrist Ann Hecker (Annabella Sciorra) is haunted by secret fantasies — recurring erotic dreams inspired by the confessions of a lustful patient (Deborah Kara Unger). Seeking help, Ann confides in her mentor, Dr. Leo Green (Alan Alda), but a different sort of treatment comes into play when Ann meets Doug McDowell (Jamey Sheridan), a ruggedly handsome pilot whose attentions spark a love affair beyond Ann's wildest fantasies. But when one of Ann's patients turns up dead, the clues point to Doug as the murderer. Can Ann truly trust this man whom she hardly knows? Is he after her love ... or her life?
