In a recent interview on The Resistance Broadcast: Star Wars podcast Christopher Ford was asked if Jod Na Nawood really was Jod’s name. Ford’s answer was basically 🤷‍♂️

Therefore, it is now my personal headcanon that Jod is his real name, but Na Nawood was his Jedi Master’s name.

The 8 episode season had been likened to cross between Star Wars with teen adventure movies made in or based in the 80's. We're Gonna Be in So Much Trouble- Skeleton Crew Episode 7

We have finally reached the meaty parts of this story and what a ride it has been. We finally make it back to the place it all started, and so much is on the line heading into the finale.

Jod's demeanor has fully shifted to pirate mode, and Jude Law is portraying it so wonderfully. In this episode he made me believe that he is a ruthless pirate. This is the first time it felt that way. The choices he made were always questionable at best but that is no longer the case.

This was another example of why simple is often the most effective approach. It gives you the chance to tell a great story while relying on your actors to convey the message. This was also the most visually heavy episode with the barrier, the storm, and then finally reaching the destination. Every single visual looked stunning and helped move the story along. Especially the scenes finally showcasing the depth of this planetary barrier we have heard so much about.

It also provided a solid foundation for how the finale will play out. There are still enough questions and a bunch of tension heading into the final episode. This penultimate episode was one of the best in recent memory in terms of finally giving us the big reveal but leaving the final showdown for the finale. This is how it is done, folks. What a fun and engaging show that gives us real children with real child like reactions. Let's go on one last ride next week and see where this all ends up.

Bryce: "I already did that on The Mandalorian, with the AT-ST, remember??? I want a real monster this time! Write in a giant monster in that chases the kids."

Ford: "Well...I guess we could make a giant version of the little crabs?"

Bryce: "DO IT!"
