Next up, covering all that hard modeling work with clothes!
I don't intend to go any more detailed than this. The plan is to get something interesting visually on Unity's side with shaders :)
So, I've been working on the main character of the game for a good while now. This here is Dominic! name may change later
And this is how he started. I'm no master when it comes to modeling robots but I decided to get the proportions and basic idea down with a rough sculpt.
Rest is history retopology.
I ended up not liking the original design's face colors so I made him cuter with... white irises? It somehow works.
Working on the main character's clothes atm. Messing around with Blender's cloth systems. It's slowly driving me insane.

Text box
Since C H R O M A is a visual novel which furthers plot with dialogue, we needed visuals for it. We wanted the text box's appearance to be animated and that the box would scale to the size of the shown text. The first tries of this were..... less than successful (but hilarious)...
But finally with blood, sweat and tears, the first iteration was done.
And now we have even polished it a bit as well! ( With a sneak peek of the "close up view" feature on the left 😎)
