You have a crush on Jamil and you may or may not look at him from afar. Your bastard friends decide to help you out.
People were no doubt giving you weird looks as you walked down the halls of Night Raven College. The thing was, you weren't just walking down like an everyday student. You were jumping from corner to corner, and every now and then you would hide behind something, like a wall or a pillar.
You were following someone and not just anybody. You were following Jamil Viper, a second-year student from Scarabia dorm, and your secret crush.
Others wondered a little about your crush. Why fall for Jamil when there was Kamil who was rich? Why fall for someone whose whole family has been nothing but servants for Al-Asim family? Why fall for someone so serious when there was someone who could bring a smile to everyone's lips?
Well, you knew there was more to Jamil than others thought. He was thoughtful, smart, and talented in so many ways others didn't see.
Seeing him brought a smile to your face and when you heard him talk you felt butterflies in your tummy.
"Ooi!"
You winched as a familiar sound shouted behind you and you turned around just to see Floyd walk up to you. You raised your finger to your lips and hissed, "Shush! You're too loud!"
"Eeh, what is little Shrimpy doing?" Floyd wondered out loud and then he noticed Jamil in the distance and he got this freaky smile on his lips.
"Ah, you're stalking Sea Snake again?"
"Hush!" You hissed through your teeth, "I'm not stalking him! I'm just simply looking at him."
"Creepy, Shrimpy is being creepy!" Floyd cackled like a maniac and you frowned. "I don't want to hear that coming from you of all people!"
"My, what is all this commotion I hear?" Came a new voice and you felt like slamming your palm on your forehead. Of course, where there was Floyd, Jade, his twin, was nearby also.
"Shrimpy is stalking Sea snake again!" Floyd laughed.
"I'm not!" You snapped, but it only made both twins laugh harder at you.
"This isn't the first time we have caught you drooling-!"
"I am not drooling!" You snapped and Jade nodded, "Pardon, looking, at Jamil. If you want, we could probably help you out if you need assistance?"
"No offense, but I know where your help gets me into." You said as you turned your attention back to the, now empty, hallway.
"Great, he's gone." You grumbled as you straightened and stepped aside. "Thanks guys, I can always trust you two to pick on me."
You turned to leave and Floyd and Jade looked after you before the twins shared a sharp yet knowing grin.
The next day you were tailing after Jamil again, and the day after that, and so on, and each time the Leech twins would follow you and get a good laugh at your expense.
"Shrimpy has a crush, Shrimpy has a crush!" Floyd cackled and you tried your hardest not to roll your eyes, but it was a battle you found yourself losing. You shot Floyd a glare, "Mind your own business Leech!"
"My, you sound distressed. Perhaps there is something we could do to help aid you?" Jade said with a knowing grin, "Or would you prefer Azul's help? What we can't do, he certainly can."
You were about to turn the twins away when someone else did that for you.
"They don't need help from you guys."
You yelped, startled because of how familiar the sound behind you was. You turned around and saw Jamil himself looking at you guys. You swallowed nervously as you tried to keep yourself from turning and running away like a coward.
"Sea snake!" Floyd exclaimed happily, "You came!"
"Of course, you told me to meet you guys here," Jamil answered. You blinked, confused about why the twins would invite him to your spot. Unless...?!
You turned to look at them and both Leeches grinned at you, showing off their sharp teeth.
"Well, we are off! Have fun you two!" Floyd and Jade laughed as they left you and Jamil on your own.
"Those bastards...!" You growled as you squeezed your hand into a fist in fury, but you had to calm down. You didn't want to appear unappealing to Jamil.
You turned to properly look at the young man and smiled, but your smile was wobbly because of how excited you were to have him there with you.
"Those two, huh? I'm sorry Jamil, I don't know what they were thinking-!"
"Did you think I wouldn't notice you following me?" Jamil asked suddenly and you were stunned speechless. You swallowed nervously as you shook your head. "I- I don't know what you mean?"
"Do you think I'm stupid?"
"No!"
"Then answer my question."
"No, I wasn't-!" You cursed quietly, shame over your actions crawling up your spine and you knew you wouldn't be able to lie your way out of the situation but you didn't want to tell the truth. You didn't feel ready, no, you weren't ready.
"Fine, stay quiet." Jamil sighed out loud and turned his back to you, ready to leave, when you suddenly-!
"I like you Jamil!" You exclaimed and it felt like time stopped. Jamil turned to look at you it was like a dam broke and you couldn't stop the words from spilling.
"You're so nice and always helping others! Not only that, your food always tastes the best and you are so cool when you are dancing, and you look so happy it makes my chest hurt!"
You gasped for breath and looked at him with your eyes pleading for him to say something, anything really. You poured your heart out and now it was up to him what he would do with your feelings.
"Ah... I see..." Jamil said quietly and you felt your heart drop and cold boney fingers claw your chest.
"I'm flattered..." He confessed and your eyes widened when you saw that he had a small smile on his handsome face. "Would you say that... I'm a protagonist to you?"
What a writer-styled way to put it. You nodded, "To me...!" You swallowed before smiling, "To me, you're the protagonist!"
You watched Jamil's smile grow and he nodded, "To feel that way... I'm happy."
You smiled brightly and he returned the gesture. "Would you like to perhaps come to see Scarabia Dorm sometime with me? As in, tomorrow after history class?"
"Only if you let me take you with me after cooking class." You said and Jamil nodded, "It's a date. Now if you excuse me, I have to go see what Kalim needed my help with."
"See you tomorrow!" You chirped like a peppy little bird and Jamil turned to leave, but as he left, he waved to you over his shoulder.
You stared happily after him and without your notice, two sneaky Leeches sneaked behind you.
"Oh my, it seems like our little plan worked?" Jade chuckled right over your shoulder and Floyd cackled over the other one, "Shrimpy has a date, how cute!"
"You guys are the worst." You said, but there was no real bite in your words or spite in your smile. The twins glanced at each other over you and grinned. "You hate it, but you love us."
Angewomon - Recently I came by the 7 Digimon Adventure Tri Movies from 2015-2020 and... As a kid, I was like TOTAlly big Digimon fan... But much-wayyy bigger the A-Team '83-87 fan ;) :D... So here's my rendition of my Fictional Childhood Crush Angewomon :D
