i’m loving my rewatch of s1 Chuck so much. Sarah and Casey are trying so hard not to care about Chuck outside of keeping him physically safe because he’s just another job and while today it’s their job to protect him, the next day they could get orders to kill him (Casey actually does have orders to kill Chuck once nsa/cia is done with him) So they can’t let themselves get attached to someone they might have to kill tomorrow, but Chuck doesn’t really know this and he’s so kind and clever you can SEE Sarah and Casey growing increasingly fond and proud of him
