Billions (2016)
CHUCK: I was talking to the head counsel of GE, and they’re looking for a new head of HR. I can put in the word if you want it. WENDY: Is there… is there some reason I can’t keep doing my job? CHUCK: No. What do you mean? I heard about a position, so I presented it. WENDY: Don’t you get enough of moving the pieces around the board at work? CHUCK: Okay. You don’t want to hear about opportunities, fine. WENDY: Are you prosecuting somebody at Axe? What’s going on, Chuck? CHUCK: First off, no. And second, you know that we don’t discuss that. WENDY: So quit your fucking job. […] CHUCK: Take it easy, okay? I’m the goddamn U.S. Attorney, Wendy — WENDY: So? I’ve been working there since before we were married and long before you were in office. CHUCK: Look, not that we’re there, but we did always discuss that the day might come when there was a conflict. WENDY: That was before I was making eight times what you make. And before you started making Chuck Senior plays like this — CHUCK: Leave him out of it. Okay? And who makes more money? Really? Is this what we’re teaching the kids? WENDY: Are we teaching them that Daddy’s job is always more important than Mommy’s?
billions 1x01 pilot. remember how the series ends with chuck back in the us attorney seat and wendy having dinner with him and the kids after quitting her job
thanks kings 👑
Billions is back, to this day I think the show failed to really explain why Chuck was so hellbent on hating billionaires without EVER examining HIS wealth and privilege.
If anything, he was an old money hypocrite looking down on new money.
BILLIONS 4.01
They should have written Chuck off along with Axe tbh
I preferred Billions when it was about money and not politics. I know Mike was running for president since like 5 episodes ago. I just find it to be such a lame storyline. He is a narcissist and just plain annoying as a character. I get the elections are a big deal but it was also so over the top and dramatic. So a rich guy wants to be president? Whats new? Agh I am so over Billions rn, I wish they’d just bring back Axe.
