i don't even go here but i imagine as an immortal accidentally failing concussion protocol in casual conversation, i.e. failing to give a plausible birthdate, taking too long to give your current name, having an out of date idea of who is head of state, is a dead giveaway and a quick ticket to receiving a lot of unnecessary awkwardness and concern. Now imagine in the no longer queen's england in the year of our lord 2022 Hob has had the 'oh no that's not who the monarch/head of state' convo is like four separate times and panicked everytime until remembering, no, not his fault, the ringmasters of the clownshow have been tripping over themselves more frequently as of late

I mean, nobody ELSE currently has any idea who is running the clown car on any level, so they wouldn't blink twice at Hob slipping up. Either that or they would think it was a joke and laugh heartily, so yeah. He's a history professor, so he has to be fairly good with names/dates/details, but he might just go HELL IF I KNOW and everyone would be like "yeah, that's fair mate, that's absolutely fair, carry on."

6. What’s the hardest part of the writing process for you?

Finishing! I have a file full of abaonded fics that will never see the light of day and the over time the graveyard has made me feel guilty. If this has taught me anything, it's to become a necromancer.

12. What’s your perfect environment to create/write?

I'm on my way to visit my parents. The train is quiet. I am able to stay away and get some writing done. Due to the lack of WiFi access and such, I am not distracted and something is finished by the time I switch trains for the next part of the trip.

18. Do you only write when you’re inspired, or do you try and sit down at specific times and write no matter what?
