Jamie wiped the tears that were falling from her cheeks with a tissue and sniffled. “Th-thank you. I just feel really bad crying in front of people.” Her voice had become high and she had a difficult time getting out her words. The thing she hated the most was crying in front of others. It was something she preferred to keep in, or do in her alone time. Part of her was embarrassed to have Ara catch her in the act, but it was comforting to hear those words. “I don’t know what’s gotten into me today.” Jamie blew her nose into the tissue and sniffled again.

“Yeah– hi. I kinda need your help, if you don’t mind.” Seunghyun started off awkward and nervous, not knowing how to put his words into the right sentence as he didn’t want to come off too aggressive. “My brother’s birthday is the day after tomorrow. If you could- and if you don’t mind, I mean, if you don’t mind at all–” he started to blur his words again, letting out a nervous sigh once in a while. “Can I ask for a birthday video massage? He’s a really big fan of you. I’d be more than thankful if you are willing.” he said, ending his words with a genuine smile although it was obvious that the man is still dying of edginess. After all, he had never done this before.

“Have you ever just had something happen and it makes you happy for hours and you can’t stop smiling, because it’s the greatest thing in the whole wide world to you, even if it might not mean very much to someone else?” Chanhyun breathed, eyes dancing with a bright twinkle and she rested her chin in her palm; the words leave her lips with a dreamy tone and the blissed expression on her face was undeniable. Her eyes flickered over to Aram’s visage, but the smile never faded. 

“I’m just really happy.”

     ⋆   —   Kihyun rolled over the back of the couch and landed on the ground behind it, reloading the chamber of his nerf gun as fast as his fingers could move, and cocking the fun after loading it. A new year meant new struggles and the first struggle Kihyun wanted to make someone face was a full fledged nerf gun battle with him. He had decorated the lounge like a battle field; the couches as bases and reloading stations and under the table as a safe zone to ‘heal’. This was probably the most childish thing to do but the company seemed to be a little gloomy. This was his time to make everyone laugh and have fun. CEO Sunhwa could give him a lecture later but he’d worry about that when the time came. Kihyun barely peeked his head over the couch, waiting for the first unsuspecting soul to enter into the lounge.
