so I've been following you on Twitter for a while now and I just saw your tweet about outgrowing your friends and I feel an odd sense of relief knowing I'm not the only one with that feeling..tbh I don't know how to deal with this in ways other than serving up major side eye with a big glass of wine during obligatory social events that I can't just show face and leave...but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

honestly like beyond being frustrating as hell.... it’s just lowkey heartbreaking in a sense because damn like all these years of friendship and in the end everything just fizzles out in the most anticlimactic way............ i almost wish i had a big dramatic blowout instead of the nausea that is trying 2 reach out 2 someone u honestly don’t even want 2 hangout with anymore because u feel guilty that u don’t wanna hang out w them anymore...... 

but i mean i’ll spare everyone the deets cuz that’s what diaries r for but yeah shit blows yo.....

Claudia mi reina I need inspiration. I have a networking event to attend in DC coming up. I must some how manage to exude both the aura of the true leader of the free world and the true Aesthetic™ as I make my presence known on Capitol Hill. Any advice or ideas from you would be greatly appreciated.

- go for the neutral crop top printed skirt combo (but like cool and chic)

- ok not ready for the crop top then sleek black turtleneck contrasting skirt in a textured fabric (bonus bright purse 2 give a splash of color and quirk and je ne seis quoi)

- super wide leg trousers silky slightly baggy blouse in the same color. contrasting color jacket on top (not quite a blazer but something blazer adjacent)

- all black. statement necklace RED LIP. can never go wrong.  (the Claudia Approved™ skirt version)

- 2 much black (is that even a question) add a floral/printed jacket and or bright shoe or both (this is more on the casual side but instead of leather leggings i’d go for ponte/knit skinnies) (and a more fitted jacket) (but i like the cobalt pumps they…. /work/)

- THE POWER JUMPSUIT (talk about making a statement)

A friend of mine, the lovely churntheocean, is an exchange student in Chile, and recently the city she is studying in was severely affected by a fire. One of the schools impacted, an all girls school, receives very little money from the government so churntheocean and her peers are trying to raise money to support them. ahh, this theme is so simple and lovely. i love the little ink drawing at the top, and the way the posts are laid out. Personally i love black and white colour schemes so i think this one is so nice ^^

1. When I'm really upset, chances are it's manifested as anger and I want to hit something. Like furniture, never something alive.

2. If I can't do that for some reason, I like to burrow under a bunch of blankets and pretended I was buried alive.

3. I'm nearly 21 and I still can't believe I don't have magic powers like wtf is this shit.

4. I've gone from "I'll just wear the same outfit as yesterday, it's passable" to "I bet I can set a record for going the most days just rolling out of bed and going back to sleep with no change in between"

5. I like cheese. A lot. Like mac and cheese is fantastic but so is grilled cheese, and crackers with cheese and crunchy cheetos are a fucking gift.

1. Favorite type of music? Probably rock, I lean towards the 60s-80s, but I've grown increasingly fond of more modern music. Also, showtunes. Just all of them.

2. Favorite movie or top three? (It’s so hard to pick just one sometimes) Yeah, like three is easy. The Harry Potter movies, Addams Family movies, and because we know I can't pick lets say almost everything in the scifi/fantasy genre.

3. One place you would love to live? New Zealand, from what I hear.

4. Favorite Animal? I like most, but as for pets I've always had dogs.

5. Movies or musicals? Musical movies?

6. Favorite subject? Not in school...but I'm fond of psychology, history and literature.

7. If you could live in a fictional universe, which one would you live in? To be greedy, I think I'd like to live in the Inkheart universe (presuming I had their powers) because then I could read myself in and out of any book I chose. Is that cheating?

8. Favorite food? All food.

9. Favorite book? Again with the favorite these questions are so hard. Of course Harry Potter is up there but I'm quite fond of Inkheart, and Warm Bodies, and Peter Pan.

10. One activity you would love to do but have never tried? Motorcycle jousting.

11. One skill you would like to have? Telekinesis. Unless that's really more of an ability, so if that's not in the cards then counting cards.

I know how difficult situations like this can get. Find a safe spot, just a little place in your room/wherever you are and take a few minutes to breathe. Hopefully that will ease the feeling at least a little bit. Otherwise my inbox is always open <3

Wow, I honestly wasn't expecting such an impassioned response - thank you all so, so much. It means the world just to know I'm not going through this alone, and that other people have experienced similar things.  Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. The advice you've all given is really wonderful, and I'll definitely try things out when I need to.
