B’fast 1 July 2007. Coffee and ciabatta roll toasted with this great Italian apricot jam. When I leave for the pool, I see that two neighbors across the street, the ones with a passel of kids, are running a “garage sale” This is a summer standard here in Eugene: sometimes called a yard sale. You can put out lots of stuff knowing that it won’t rain. Basically it’s cleaning out junk and hoping to make some money off of it. With kids you end up with lots of stuff, I guess. I don’t go over since if you do you feel sort of like you should buy something, as a neighbor, and I sure don’t need more stuff.
