Veronica Cale/Doctor Cyber: Veronica Cale is the head of a massive pharmaceutical empire; the perfect depiction of the self made woman. She worked hard to get where she is, and she's an icon to those of the capitalist class. But like most other rich capitalists, veronica cale is a hypocrite. And even worse than that, she's a callous woman who secretly runs an international criminal syndicate. She runs the massive criminal organization known as CIBER (Cybernetic Intelligentsia Bringing Earth Ruin), working from the shadows as their mysterious boss and master, Doctor Cyber. With enough technology in her power armour to go toe to toe with some of the strongest weaponry modern man has to offer, Doctor Cyber is a force to be reckoned with.
By day, Veronica Cale charges people jacked up prices just for basic medicine. By night, CIBER is robbing and looting from others all across the globe, stealing precious resources for veronica to hoard and monopolize. How does Cale Pharmaceuticals manage to maintain it's stranglehold on the pharmaceutical industry? Simple. CIBER eliminates all those who stand in her way. Veronica Cale is a materialistic woman who views her actions as totally justified, and she hates Wonder Woman specifically for being more popular than her. Wonder Woman has no money. She isn't even a self made woman! Veronica can't cope with that. Not one bit. And although she always wanted to fight Wonder Woman, she doesn't actually get a chance to until Wonder Woman has lost all her powers and is living as an amnesiac martial artist going by Diana Prince.
Diana Prince and her new mentor, the blind man known as I-Ching, quickly become thorns in Cyber's plans. They slowly and systematically destroy her criminal operation, no matter what she throws at them. Her best henchmen all fail. Angle Man, The Silver Swan and many others all fail. Eventually, Diana and I-Ching infiltrate Doctor Cyber's secret lab. After a scuffle, they realize cyber's lab is about to explode, but there's no way to stop the detonation.
Diana and I-Ching successfully escape the island, but Veronica spurs the aid of Wonder Woman. She refuses the aid of that "fake feminist and socialist." Cyber tries to escape the island using her jet pack, but it runs out of fuel shortly after she gets into the air. So she crashes into the water, and ends up seemingly dying in the explosion of her island lair. A body was never found, but Diana assumes she died.
Unfortunately, she didn't. She was horribly disfigured in the accident, and she returns to land only to find she's now lost her entire company. Cale Pharmaceuticals was forcibly broken up, and all of it's private healthcare clinics were converted into free rehab centres and other important healthcare related services. The name of Veronica Cale now only symbolises greed posing as female empowerment. And this only makes the now hideously disfigured Veronica Cale hate Wonder Woman even more. And since she couldn't get any plastic surgeries to stick, she now permanently hides behind cybernetic enhancements and her iron mask. She's still a greedy shill to the last, however. Almost all of her crimes end up screwing over people in some monetary way. Veronica Cale is greed incarnate, and she truly is evil. Wonder Woman tries to reform her, but she spurns it at every turn.
