I also think that Hwang Dae Woong would initially start addressing Shin Cha Il as Cha Il-ah mostly to be annoying about their EXTREME AGE DIFFERENCE (three months) but also because he's physically incapable of NOT showing affection to the people he cares for and this is one of the few ways he can get away with it repeatedly and in public and also Shin Cha Il obviously likes it and isn't swimming in people calling him affectionately
