#one of those things that just jump out at u when reading the series as an adult #4th graders are about 9 years old to put that in perspective #depending on ur bday and stuff #and we know in chb demigods rarely make it to adulthood #even in botl percy mentions theseus was his age when he died (14/15)#being a demigod in pjo is like ... u either die of a monster attack before you can make it “safely” to chb #or you die in war before ever reaching adulthood #dont get me started on how all of this is handled in later books of the series btw.#ultimately nothing has changed #pjo had things to say #all of it is now either forgotten or made to seem like its no big deal #and i feel like its a bit relevant to mention rick's response on how he claims that demigods are more resilient when it comes to ptsd #he was pertaining to percy and annabeth after tartarus but the implication of his response is horrible #when u consider how he handles all this now (camp jupiter etc)#all these things are glossed over now simply bc he cant bring himself to write it with the nuance it requires #thalia grace #percy jackson #nico di angelo #annabeth chase #bianca di angelo #grover underwood #chiron pjo #pjo #the titans curse #pjo reread #cin's txt.#mine
