Does anybody else imagine Cir possibly losing his temper with Phu and maybe yelling at him or something and Phu just pauses for a minute and then suddenly starts examining Cir’s forehead. And Cir is like “what are you doing?” And Phu is just like “seeing if your scar is gone because I know MY Cir wouldn’t be yelling at me like that so you must have suddenly switched places with one of the asshole versions!” And Cir is promptly apologetic and right back to worshiping the ground Phu walks on, whatever made him yell is a forgotten memory.
Boy Next World Excerpt: Cirrus and Phukan's First Bareback
Timeline Note: This takes place after Phukan's confrontation with Lukprae (for the show, this happened in ep 9)
"Hey," Phukan called softly, hugging Cirrus' neck.
"Hmm, what is it?" Cirrus responded gently, holding Phukan's waist firmly.
"Can you hug me?"
The listener looked surprised and then spoke sternly.
"You're still hurt."
That was enough for Phukan to know that what he had in mind wouldn't happen. So, he pushed himself off the broad lap.
"Phu... Hey, Phu!"
The first time, Cirrus called out in worry that Phukan might be upset, but the next time was in shock at what Phukan was about to do.
The small figure knelt on the carpet, hands moving to unbuckle Cirrus' belt, his pink tongue peeking out at the corner of his mouth, eyes focused on the prominent bulge visible through the dark underwear.
"If you don't do me, then I'll do you."
The little one said, pressing his face against the hot shaft, tilting his cheek up to meet Cirrus' eyes, and smiling sweetly.
"Well?"
The sight made the observer grit his teeth.
"You're still hurt."
"Yeah," Phukan acknowledged, but his bright tongue licked the prominent bulge like a kitten hungry for milk.
No matter how many times I look, it's still kinda big.
"Phu."
Chu.
"Yes?"
"Phukan!"
"Yeah, what?"
Chu. Muah.
Even though he responded, his soft lips continued to move along the bulge, his small tongue licking and his hands moving. And that made Cirrus lose all patience.

"Whoa!"
Phukan was pulled back onto the sofa, but Cirrus didn't flip the teasing guy over. Instead, the big guy quickly pulled off Phukan's pants and held his hips firmly.
"P'Cir..."
"If you want to do it so badly, then go ahead."
Oh no, his voice is so stern.
Phukan swallowed hard. His face was right at Cirrus' crotch, and his butt... was right at Cirrus' mouth.

"No... not this position."
Phukan couldn't finish his sentence, trying to squirm away, but the hot tongue licked his sweet hole, making every hair stand on end. When he tried to cover it with his hands, Cirrus grabbed both wrists tightly, leaving only his knees to support himself with.
"P'Cir, not this position. No, ah!" Phukan cried out in pleasure as the hot tongue swiped through his tight passage again.

Phukan cried incoherently, trying to stop him, but tears welled up in his eyes. His legs gave up, and he could only lift his trembling hips for Cirrus.

This time it wasn't just licking; Cirrus sucked. His tongue alternated with nibbling on the white buttocks, and he bit them until red marks appeared, then returned to play with the small hole that was starting to get wet with saliva. His hands held Phukan's wrists tightly, leaving Phukan's face to rest against the hot shaft, which was hard and rubbing against his soft cheek.

Phukan couldn't concentrate when the warm tongue was pushing into his body.

Many times, the little guy screamed out in ecstasy. He felt the passage behind him both wet and slippery, twitching heavily.

Until the big guy finally let go, Phukan collapsed onto Cirrus, his face flushed red, panting heavily. But that wasn't enough for the one who wanted to punish him. The deep voice teased as a finger slid inside.

For some reason, this time Phukan didn't feel any pain, only intense pleasure as the fingertip rubbed against the tight passage. His eyes were filled with tears, cheeks flushed red, and hips twitching rhythmically as the big guy's long finger moved in and out slowly.
At that moment, he was pulled up from the lap and pushed down to place both hands on the armrest of the sofa. His round hips were lifted, and then...
"Ah!!!"
Phukan screamed at the top of his lungs as Cirrus' long finger pounded into him, the sound of palms slapping against his round butt echoing throughout the room. But he couldn't stop his body from arching to meet the intense rhythm.
The little guy moaned incoherently, feeling Cirrus looming over him from behind, his sharp face nuzzling the back of his neck, then stopping at his ear.
Sharp teeth bit lightly, then a hoarse whisper.
"Can I go in?"
"Uh, nghhh."
Cirrus pulled his finger out, letting Phukan pant heavily, his flushed face turning back to see... Cirrus was close to losing it too.
That look made Phukan take the next action.
His trembling hands moved down and spread his round buttocks apart, revealing his slick, beautiful passage.
The sight left the big guy stunned, especially when Phukan whispered shyly.
"Yes, here, come in. Do me, please."
And that's when the gentle boyfriend turned into a beast, as the hot shaft pressed against the cleft and without hesitation...

... thrust all the way in.
The heat rubbed against Phukan's inside, filling him to the brim. Phukan's eyes widened, tears streaming down. His body twitched as the big guy behind pulled out and... slammed back in deep.

He couldn't focus on anything but the relentless thrusts, making him nearly lose his mind.

Instead of fearing the intense possessiveness of the one holding him tight, Phukan responded willingly to the touch. His heart fluttered, and his body shuddered, knowing only that he wanted to lay in this embrace forever.

Sisira's brain couldn't process it in time. His cute face had to press against the sofa's backrest as the thrusts became more intense, the sound of flesh hitting flesh echoing throughout the small living room. His body screamed with pleasure as Cirrus stroked him hard while thrusting into his back passage.
The pleasure tightened.
"Ah!!!!"
Phukan screamed at the top of his lungs as he released all his desires, but then his eyes widened, and his body tensed as the warm stream flowed into him, overflowing. It wasn't discomfort, but overwhelming pleasure that took his breath away.
Cirrus came inside him.
"Sorry... ha, I'm sorry."
Even though Cirrus, who was stroking his face and hair, apologized with guilt, the listener shook his head vigorously and said with trembling lips.
"I-it's okay. It... feels good."
The cheeky answer made Cirrus unable to resist pressing a loving kiss to the sweaty cheek.
Official trailer is out. I'm very excited to see where things go. It's clear some changes were made from the novel, which is exciting, because that gives an opportunity to kind of experience it with new eyes.

I'm going to talk about novel to series changes that seem to be happening, so HEAVY spoilers below.
I'm going to assume if you're here, you at least watched the trailer all the way through, and I'm VERY intrigued at the choice of twist. I've seen comparisons to Two World and Vice Versa, but I didn't finish Vice Versa, so I can't speak for that in particular. To be honest, my first thought was A Christmas Carol, which is probably a little bit because of the time of year. Either way if we're doing a switch into the parallel worlds or alternate futures actually being real, I like that change SO MUCH.
The twist in the novel was so wildly problematic, to a degree where it certainly wouldn't get a pass in this day and age. And TBNW is one of Mame's older novels, so updating it for what fan/societal expectations are today is a really smart move on her part. I do wonder if she'll be updating the novel once the series is done, since she is changing a major plot point.
I'm going to talk about some other points in the novel, but I don't want to kind of repeat myself with explanations, so go check out this post where I kind of run through the things I hope to see in the series: link
To start, we see from the cast list that Ozone (or Zone) is present, being played by "Vino" Chavid Pevec. I was concerned that this character might get cut from the story, as with "colder" characters, I think having a sibling helps to give a human side to them, especially as a love interest is just getting to know them. We don't see much in the way of the side story that revolves around Cir and Zone's family, which while not a massive part of the novel, does speak to some of his motivations there, but with the changes being made, maybe it's not necessary. IDK. In the end, I can't really determine if it's a good move or not until we series the series and what was actually included.
I did make a point though that if they chose to include Cir's history and abuse at the hands of his mother I would hope they go for discussion only, versus casting a young actor to portray it, so if they've kind of removed that story, I don't think I'll be disappointed.
Wim and Jin are clearly present and we see confirmation that they will be the second couple for the series. I'm not sure how much of their characters will stay the same as the novel, as Phu and his friend group are a bit eccentric and silly, and I kinda hope we don't lose that. Going off the costuming for Jin it doesn't seem like it, so I'm hopeful.
The one of the bigger overarching points in the story is Phu actually dealing with his grief over his father passing, and we don't see much in the trailer for me to know if that's included in the series, but some of the story points in the novel really added depth to Phu's character, so I do think it would be a shame to minimize it or cut it altogether. One thing it does look like they've kept, which I'm very certain will break my heart, is Phu falling for Cir, and coming to terms with the fact that he's 'stolen' alternate world Phu's love and pushing for Cir to try and get back. In the novel, we see Phu as quite silly and a bit full of bravado, but he's also quite soft. His understanding of how much he's come to love Cir in such as short time and then considering how much more alternate world Phu would have loved him, considering they had years together is so beautiful and so sad, and handled with what I'll admit is a surprising level of subtlety that we don't often see from Mame. It's an all-around very complex situation with a lot of complex emotions, and I think it gives an opportunity for Noeul specifically to really show some range in the role.
I will say though, watching the trailer, I'm struck by the beauty of some of the shots. Like truly beautiful, so I definitely want to mention the director Mame is working with here, Thanpisit Jiradechakul. I know a lot of ppl assume that Mame directs all of her shows, and while she is heavily involved, I would say works as a co-director, she's only solo-directed Wedding Plan, and I'll be honest, you can tell the difference. I did try and look to see what other projects Thanpisit has worked on, and it looks like this is his first series. He's got commercials and some other smaller projects on his vimeo, but nothing of this scale. He is the credited editor and director for the Love in the Air music video though, so he has history with Mame, Boss, and Noeul.
Also, since I feel like it must be mentioned, yes of course the chemistry between Boss and Noeul is chemistry-ing... no one is surprised.
