I sometimes think of the citrus that all modern citrus trees come from. the eigencitrus, if you will

every time i'm high lately i've been thinking about citrus family trees. especially the citron. i think it's like, the stupidest citrus fruit. you see all that white pith? the very little amount of pulp? i've heard that the pulp yields nearly no amount of juice and tastes extremely sour so it doesn't even have that going for it. some people like to candy the skin and pith and i've never had it before, but assuming it actually tastes good it may be the only thing it has going for it. the other thing being that it is one of the grandfather citrus fruits that created many of the citrus we know today that are much better and more useful to society than the citron.

wandered into a museum today and they had a little citrus art exhibition going. literally just dozens of paintings of citrus (mostly lemons). I thoroughly enjoyed it
