Reasoning: Man it's been a hot minute since I've played these two visual novels but my GOD.

CWs for: mentions of abuse, character death, mentions of violence

To shorten it as much as possible - Charlie had a terrible life with an abusive dad, then accidentally did something horrible*, then died in some kinda accident (they were a teenager...), then they spent god knows how long haunting subways as an evil spirit before this other ghost trapped them, THEN in the second game they were freed but lost their memories, then they had to watch the protags from the first game uhm. Go through stuff- And all that while their memories slowly returned and they realized "oh shit I fucked up royally". Bro needs so much therapy basically.

*spoilers: so they. They accidentally mauled their friend with scissors... then when their dad verbally attacked them because of it they panicked and injured him too, and then they ran away. It's not shown how they died but it happened shortly after that
