Title: eyes without a face
Details: Civvies (1992), Frank Dillon/Jimmy Hammond, Explicit, 2 ,362 words. Inspired by @teawithmagician's fic not done.
Summary: Frank served his time. All nine years of it.
Susie won’t pick him up. “Frank,” she said his name now like he was nasty gunk on the bottom of her leather pump. Like she didn’t give birth to his kids and marry him once. Then Susie let out a long exhale. An exasperated sigh like the last time he saw her when she came in to have him sign the papers. As if she had a reason to be exhausted compared to what he’d been through. “Come on, Suze. I need you.” His ex-wife was quiet for a long while. In the background, he could hear her new kid wailing something fierce and maybe Kenny cooing to calm it. Sad day when a father couldn't recognize his kid's voice. Finally, she replied, her voice distant. “No. You never did, did you? Call one of your blokes. Cliff. Harry….” Even Susie doesn’t dare say his name. But it was enough though to set him off. It always was. Jimmy.
