I really wish I could write all my thoughts and feelings about “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” but that would mean I would spoil the movie! Well, we’ve got our history textbooks to tell us what happens – who dies, who wins. This movie is not about what we already know, but what we might have missed or looked past. We were taught history by bullet points of heroic victories towards freedom, but we rarely take to heart the mistakes and humanity of our so-called heroes. This movie is an opportunity to break that down. I sincerely think that’s more than enough reason for us to watch this film. Let’s watch “Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral” in cinemas.
