So let's Talk (again) about the axons. Not about their meanings for the individuals but for their meaning for Renoir.

I kinda think it's telling with what of an Intention Renoir painted the axons.

Siréne is beautiful. Convincing. Charming. Lullabying. Her music and dance fills you with joy. Everyone arounds her dances with her. Everyone staring to Long at her is hold in her Charm.

Renoir is succumbed by His wife. He clearly Loves her. She is His ultimate temptation, He can't Look to Long at her because He would lose himself in His Love for her. He Made himself to her tisseur. A helping servant completely Out of His own will.

To be short He is a lovesick dumbass, but we Love him for that.

Alicias axon is full of Hope. All the Hope Renoir Put in her and her Future. As If Alicia was Always to afraid to try. To much dreaming about Things without doing it. To afraid of consequences to try it out.

But He has Hope for her, reaching her Dreams, get over her fear. He is so concerned and still Just wants the best for her. He Made himself to the green orphelin, trying to give the reacher all the Help she can get, without going too over it. He is Just silently inventing and learning and showing the reacher/ Alicia new Things to consider.

He is a father, who tries to Help His daughter without interfering with her own choices.

The next two axons are a bit more... Meaner, honestly. Renoir is clearly concerned about His Kids, but while Alicias axon showed His Hope and alines His Love, it's Not so easy with the other two.

About cleas axon we don't know much. For example how Renoir painted himself by her to Help her. We know that clea didn't liked it and tried to get rid of her. We know how it looked bit Not how it behaved. I have two theories about it.

One is that her axon showed His deep concerns about her doing everything on her own. Carry a literal city on her shoulders. Carrying too much for Others, being a people pleaser. Be strong but need to Rest from time to time, because it's too much.

The second theory is that her axon Shows His Trust in her. He allows her to carry a whole City, because He can Trust her. Knowing she will Care for them and being responsible. He thinks she is a calm and Safe space He trusted with all His Heart.

These both theories don't have to stand alone, it could be both of them. Having her axon being Trust fits with the other axons meanings, but He is her father and still will be concerned about her all the time.

Now versos axon. Again He is almost definitly concerned. About His son, being alone with His Feelings. About his son Not talking to him. Seeing Verso pretend to be Something He is Not.

Renoir painted him with facettes. Sadness, angryness, happiness. Masks but also depths. Like shadows in a painting.

More importantly He Stands as Visage in Front of Verso and protects him. As If He Sees Verso as fragile, important, needed to be protected. Or as having a Feeling of guilt, for Not protecting him sooner. Not seeing versos issues. Not listen to Verso talking.

So versos axon could Show Renoirs protection, His guilt or His loss.

Aline - Love, he'd lose himself

Alicia - her fear, He want to Take away

Clea - trusted her with too much

Verso - protecting Out of guilt, out of loss

These are at least Just a few Things i have thought about the axons. Seeing them Out of Renoirs perspective and what it means for His character.

Spoiler warning: i Talk about Clair obscur and about second/third act and the secret Bosses. If you don't want to get spoilered don't read it.

So my girlfriend showed me Clair obscur and i'm obsessed so of course i have to Talk about my favourite enemys.

I'm gonna Go from the normal typed enemys to Bosses to Secret Bosses.

So the First time i saw a Troubadour i Just knew they were gonna be my favourite. Like a literal Troubadour Dancing cutely playing a old fashioned trompet. He gives his allies buffs and Looks so cute while doing it. Their little dance was literally a Highlight for me, for as Long as i hadn't one-shoted them. (I am Not Sure but i think i have to thank clea for them)

contorsionnistes are puppet Like, doing a Bridge and wiggling in excitement. They Look so creepy and cute. Even tho their face is blanc and disfigured, you are being watched by a fucking eye in their chest. They are tall as hell when they would Stand upwards, with Long nasty limbs. I saw them and i knew i'd gonna Love them. And i do. They are literally creepy doll aesthetic, Nobody can convince me that this isn't one of the best aestetics, especially when it's Not horrifying but Just slightly creepy. Good Work Renoir.

Mimes, everyone Loves them Or when they don't, they don't have taste. Good music, fair fight Combos, fun creepy aesthetic and for the result fun Outfits and/or Hair. What Else can i say? They're fun and created by clea to scare young Verso.

The lampmaster is the First Bossfight with a second Turn, the reason why Gustav died and one of the coolest creations clea did. And that is Just because again she wanted poor Baby Verso to be scared as hell, what did worked. I Loved the introducing (and everytime we meet him it's almost as good as it was the First time) the lamps, the hands, the cloak, the Magic. Also i hate it when He does it, but i Love the foot that enables monoco to do the "lampmaster light" sword attack. It's in my current build my second strongest Attack.

I liked versos axon the Mask Keeper too, Not as much as the other, but i do Like the symbolism in this specific enemy. The whole Island was really fun to do and seeing it on Renoirs Interpretation of Verso, it makes it even better. Even If the fight itself was (at least for me) Not really impressing, this is such a deep and meaningful adversary, that i Had to include him.

(I also really Like all the other axons Renoir did to portray His Family. Cleas axon was May be uncreative in Design and unliked by clea, still it's probably my second favourite of them, even tho it's dead. The siréne with alines passion for Dancing is so beautiful and gives a whole new athmosphered world. And alicias axon try to get to the Stars because Renoir Always hoped she get so high even If she was afraid... Let's Just say they all deserved some Love and Renoir is a big old softy who deeply Loves His Family and i Love him for that.)

Last but Not least clea herself. The one of two "secret" Bosses. This fight is gorgeous. She is literally the best paintress in this canvas. Bringing all the nevrons in her attacks with beautiful Combos. The music slayed. The emotions we're Up high and the ending Scene is so poignent.

I mean really who thought it? My favourites have two Things in common. Clea and Renoir. So when clea is an actual enemy to fight, who would've thought that she became one of my favourites?

So yeah those where my favourite enemys... I will probably wrote more to Clair obscure.
