Folks who know more lore than I do. Are there any examples of an Elemental later becoming a Mechwarrior? I do not know enough about the science whether that is possible or not and am curious.

Clan Diamond Shark: Ebon Jaguar

I used to really hate the design of this ‘mech. Much like the Nova, this is one of those machines that took the longest for battletech brainworm to convince me looked cool instead of gangly and stupid. Now though? I really really like it.

Something about the fuselage and legs puts me in mind of a theropod dinosaur (which is true for plenty of ‘mechs, shout-out the Stalker) , and honestly the long-nose type ‘mechs are becoming some of my favourites. I got the box this guy came in so that the Turkina could be used with my Lancer AU project, but this dude and the Huntsman were a huge bonus. They’re gonna look so good once I get some shark jaw decals.

I’ve become a little disenchanted with the slap-chop scheme for my Diamond Shark Omega Galaxy, I find it looks weirdly sloppy and I can’t decide if it’s my drybrushing or the contrast paint (in fairness, I used a brighter, more saturated green on this guy that with my other Diamond Sharks. Easy to get confused between Citadel Ork Flesh and Army Painter Orc Skin as it turns out) - but hey, the cockpit came out real good.

The bbiggest shock for me with MW:5 Clans is that 'quiaff' is two syllables and not one.

I couldn't have been the only one pronouncing is wrong quiaff?

So I was going through the Funny section of TvTropes for Battletech, and found this hilarious gem.

During the Clan Invasion, one planet tried challenging the invaders to a game of American football for the Trial of Possession for their world under the idea that maybe the Clans didn't know how to play. Unfortunately for them, the unit that was invading their planet was an Elemental-heavy cluster from Clan Ghost Bear, where football was a popular pass time for Elementals. The defenders noted that while they were utterly crushed it was still the cleanest game they'd ever played because the Clanners considered it a mark of shame if they got a personal foul.

I’m just picturing these giant elementals just barreling through the defenders yet still taking the care not to cause any injuries. To the point of even having Defenders holding onto their ankles and getting dragged along as the Elemental plods to the goal.
