Todoroki Shoto x reader
Okay, this was meant to be smut.
Butttttt ..... it went out of hand. In a completely different direction, not even I know why and how.
I attempted to make a reader!1B UA member like someone from 1A and act on it...welp.
This is what happens when you let characters write themselves.

Has some angst in it?
Slightly rushed, so pardon the mistakes.
She'd stare at him, thinking she was being subtle but missed the signs she wasn't.
It was just her luck that he was oblivious to such things as romance. To her, it was both good and bad because how was one supposed to...discreetly let him know she liked him? She'd seen a few girls approach him, confess their feelings only to be turned down.
Saying he wasn't interested in dating.
Hero studies came first.
She got it, honestly, she did.
She was in a similar boat, wanting to focus more on hero studies but it was a little difficult whenever she happened to be near him - when there something about him that kept pulling her back to him. She'd lose any focus and get all nervous, a fluttering mess as Monoma liked to call with a knowing smirk. This remark would instantly earn him a smack from Kendo, making her grin, knocking him down. Her friendship with Monoma was interesting, it was almost that of siblings who'd constantly bicker but have each others backs.
She loved her classmates, even if they did feel inferior for being compared to class 1-A a lot, their homeroom teacher didn't like that either. Often acting out on his bias, pushing his students to beat Aizawa's kids. But in her mind, it was only because they had troublemakers in that class who attracted attention. Like Midoriya or Bakugo.
Tetsutetsu wasn't a fan of her liking someone from 1-A romantically, often calling it betrayal but in a joking way. She'd roll her eyes at him, before asking about his bromance with Kirishima, it shut him up. The two were way too similar for it to be coincidence, yet it was.
Monoma would go into lengthy lecture about why a member of 1-A wasn't good for her, she'd listen with a head shake and snicker. Kendo would sit next to her, groaning and debating which the best ways to knock him down but she wouldn't as no one from said class was there to see and hear it. Kendo wanted to keep things civil, and she agreed.
She knew they weren't bad - she'd worked in the same internship as Midoriya Izuku aka Deku. She'd seen his skills first hand, understanding why they were so ahead of them. The entire trouble with Shiehassakai had given her a better understanding of Hero work.
Losing Sir Nighteye hadn't been easy, even if they did manage to succeed in their quest to free Eri from the clutches of evil.
On the plus side, she did gain new friends from the internship.
Deku, Uraraka, Tsuyu-chan, Kirishima, Amajiki-senpai, Hado-senpai and Togata-senpai.
She'd try to focus more on the training, having coming to realize her weaknesses during the fight against Shiehassakai. It had been too narrow, she wouldn't have survived if not for the help of a Pro-Hero.
Probably.
She never wanted to witness someone dying, ever again. Being unable to do anything other than watch. What was the use of her Quirk if she couldn't save anyone?
Setsuna, Kodai, Komori, Kendo and Shiozaki had seen subtle changes in her, trying to cheer her up and refusing to let her fall into the pits of regret. The boys would find ways to distract her, having heard some details about the fight and how she felt responsible. She loved her classmates.
She kicked the training dummy, it wobbled.
She'd grown up next to him, seeing him at his weakest and worst - but there's always been a sort of barrier around him and his family, making them slightly unapproachable. Maybe besides his sister.
She seriously doubted he even knew they were neighbors, he hadn't shown any hint of recognition upon becoming classmates in UA, even if in separate classes. To him, she didn't exist beyond being in a class with Monoma.
Beyond pulling Monoma away when Kendo wasn't around, beyond being Midoriya's friend. She supposed it couldn't be helped.
Todoroki Shoto didn't exactly have a quiet childhood to know anything about romance. She knew that, and yet, she still fell for him.
Uraraka and Tsuyu-chan had noticed her staring at him, proceeding on to tease her about it and telling her to confess. They wanted there to be a first couple but she wouldn't.
She'd had more interaction with him during their class training, 1-A VS 1-B. Her team faced against Shoto's team, and Honenuki had to snap her out of being a fluttering mess. It had startled Shoto, making him wonder why he was a reason for her becoming liability (according to Honenuki, who didn't bother being quiet about it). Pony asked her if she needed a push which she denied.
Their fight ended in a draw but only because she didn't manage to slow down Iida. Tetsutetsu had worn Shoto out, and she fought alongside Kaibara. She tried to take unconscious Shoto but Iida had been faster, even with the combined efforts of her and Pony. It hadn't been enough.
When Shoto asked her about her Quirk, becoming slightly curious, she'd frozen up. Suddenly hiding behind Kaibara and Honenuki, making the students of 1-A blink in confusion. Shoto even asked if he did something to offend her, the boys shook their heads and just told him to let it go and forget it. Honenuki cursed, she was easily one of the strongest in their class but around Todoroki Shoto?
She acted opposite of being strong.
Kaibara steered her blushing mess back to the girls, who were giving her a bit of disappointed looks. Kendo smacked her, like she did with Monoma.
However, something positive came out of the class training. Shoto had noticed her.
He'd greet her, he'd talk to her or try.
With Sir Nighteye no longer being her mentor, she had to find a new Pro-Hero to intern with. She was scouted by Hawks, alongside Tokoyami from 1A. A welcome surprise.
So far, it was a nice distraction from her unrequited love towards Todoroki Shoto.
A very welcome distraction.
Maybe one day, she'd be brave enough to tell him about her feelings towards him but for now she'd try to be there without him realizing it. She'd try to leave a mark of herself, while focusing on becoming a Hero.
Sometimes, just having that heart fluttering feelings was enough. Especially when there were times in which she could back Shoto up during fights or catch him when he over did it.
But for now, she'd enjoy those tiny interactions with him.
I have no idea what I wrote there... seriously don't.
I just started to write and ....that's the result.
Wanted a bit more but felt like it could get too long if I did.
