#tbt April of 1993, working on the last two pictures for my senior art show! This was my version of “The School of Athens” : I had 2 weeks to get this one and “The Lord’s Supper” finished AND framed before my show on April 18. (Both paintings are the same size.)

Micah Joel Brandenburg, BJU Class of 2006, was among 27 men arrested in Greenville County Police’s prostitution sting code-named Operation May Day.

But he’s not the only one. 

Kurt Stephens -- BJU Class of 1993, BA in Music, and former Staff member from 2008-2012 -- was also arrested in the same sting.

Stephens was most recently the Pastor for Worship and Administration at Jason Ormiston’s Palmetto Baptist Church, and his daughter just graduated from Bob Jones University on May 3, 2019.

Can you tell us about some of your OCS? I've noticed they crop up again and again in your fics. :)

At first I was like: “what is this I have no ocs…” and then i realized everyone in the REU (riverparent expanded universe 😂) pretty much counts because we just made them up to flesh out the student body! And I got excited to talk about them, so here’s a little yearbook with all my background parents I feel like I’ve used more than once. 

CLASS OF 1993: 

Barry Goodman: Benchwarmer on the football team and local dummy/homophobe, fooled around with Penelope. (Much to her chagrin.) 

Bill Malloy: another football player. 

Bobbie: Canadian exchange student with curly brown hair. FP’s lab partner in this fic. 

Christina: The girl Fred replaced on the cheerleading squad. 

Claudia Morrow: Cheerleader, dated Rick Banks for a while but has a good heart despite this. In my head she’s tall and Asian and loves wearing heeled shoes to be every taller. Rick hates it. 

David Brown: Valerie’s dad, and Christina’s steady boyfriend. 

Ed Lopez. Riverdale’s running back, though I have no idea what that means. (Jk I have some idea. I learned far too much about football for this stupid fic.) 

Ellen (Klump): Before she shot Fangs she had a crush on both Fred and Archie in my back to the future fic. Get it together, Ellen… 

Frank Chisholm: Mary’s sweet, harmless, dopey surfer boyfriend who she turns to when Fred’s not giving her the time of day. Frank is a brunette with brown eyes. Too bad he’s missing that certain something… 

Gloria (Lopez): Cheerleader 

Harry Clayton: Coach Clayton as a young lad! I based him a lot on comics!chuck - he’s ethical, goofy, and a good friend, but he takes sports really seriously. 

Jerry Mason: Bulky, popular football player with dirty-blonde hair and a steady girlfriend. Usually good-natured and buddies with FP and Harry. Moose’s dad. 

Kenny Doiley: Dilton’s dad (before he appeared in canon). I usually write him as a rude jock. 

Kimberly Wong: Cheerleader, named after Archie’s comics only Chinese character….. ever. 🙄

Manford Muggs: Ethel’s dad, a redhead, and student body vice president. Usually, he’s just trying to stay out of the way. 

Marilyn (Mason): Head cheerleader when Penelope and Hermione aren’t around. Blonde, popular, and friendly. Moose’s mom. 

Rick Banks, occasionally Mantle: Reggie’s dad - (he’s Banks because Reggie originally had a second dad with the last name Mantle) but if there can only be one, it’s him. He’s the more Reggie of the two: popular, a massive ego and always throwing house parties. Captain of the football team and a huge loudmouth, with both feet firmly in the closet. 

Samantha: Cheerleader. Dated Barry Goodman at one point. 

Tanya (Doiley): Cheerleader AND local braniac. Dilton’s mom. Friends with Mary. 

Victor Mantle: Also has a massive ego, a huge trust fund, and is totally self-interested, but cares less about sports and more about fine foods, spa days, italian leather upholstery, sculpting his body and getting the perfect tan. 

I literally have never put them all in one place before thank you for keeping me organized. I definitely have to do this for faculty too because my teachers and coaches are all over the place… this was fun! edit: faculty here!
