Halo 2
Pong was a game that launched an industry 46 years ago today. Invented by Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari, the first Pong prototype was placed at a California bar for testing. After 3 days they received a phone call about technical difficulties with the machine. It turned out that the machine was merely overflowing with coins. Popular among men and women, Pong was a commercial success at the arcade and eventually at our homes. Sears was the first retailer to stock about 100,000 Home Pong consoles for the holiday season of 1975. How well can you ‘avoid missing ball for high score’?
old videogame commercials are wild. the way the first kid describes the game makes it seem like pitfall harry sent him on a cross country trip to steal something that accidentally summoned a demon that he had to fight in a music contest.
A little draw of April, the protagonist of The Longest Journey, one of my favorite games <3
