Pick a C
Cyrus Albright the Scholar
Castti Florenz the Apothecary
Claude the Immortal
I’m still not entirely sure what Claude’s deal is
Nobody:
Absolutely nobody:
The literal fucking god of nothingness he worships:
Claude:
WAIIIT question-
Is Temenos ACTUALLY related to Claude or is that just a fan theory? I don’t remember anything in the game saying this but if I see a lot of people talking about it-
Don't mess with Claude fans there are like three of us.
Sociopath Traveler (Part 2)
After the first game, the 2023 sequel Octopath Traveler II and the 2020 spinoff Champions of the Continent provided a few more sociopaths to the roster. Not nearly as many as in the first game, but they were still incredibly notable.
For profiles on these ones and the first game's roster, click here to see them all. (They may not be finished when you see this.)
I don't think most of them ever met, but this is how I'd picture their dynamic
Claude, I'm just wondering, what exactly was your plan for if you had actually defeated Throné?
Like, let's say she lost. Congrats, you just destroyed your god's potential vessel. You should know your group's plan is at its final stages and you didn't sound like you had a lot of spares. What are you doing.
I've joked about Claude being a quitter but the more I think about him the more I feel like he just. truly doesn't care about the Moonshade Order's goals. He took a look at his destiny, went "no thanks" and proceeded to ruin countless lives instead. Okay, he has the Blacksnakes to run errands for the Order, but you'd think the only character that canonically has a physical connection to Vide would do more for their thing. But no, he barely does anything at all and what he does, he puts close to no effort in. No wonder Arcanette took over leadership and not him.
And it's funny because it worked for him. Claude got what he wanted. Which has nothing to do with their greater plan but hey, his win.
So in the Moonshade Order, Claude is essentially the equivalent of an intern that doesn't want to be here and has absolutely no interest in or intention to do any actual work, but he's the owner's grandson so he and everyone else just have to put up with this.
...he's really living up to his name.
