Beyond grateful to have these people in my corner
The clean ladder was probably the best event that the Crossfit games has had.
Every year I hate Dave Castro and The CrossFit Games even more.
Just heard the announcement for the WODs.
*throws hands in air, leaves room*
The risk of injury has now been quadrupled raised to the tenth power.
If I were an Games athlete, I would quit.
Edit: I think my problem is with transparency. Maybe my paranoid mind is running away with me but it seems this "last wod" was split into two to shift around the leader board. Didn't they already do a strength Wod (Max OHS) ? Aren't they planning on doing deficits HSPU and heavy sled Pulls later tonight? I think Dave Castro has too much power. Where are the checks and balances??
This was a 30# PR for him. INSANE!! Teammate shouting for him in the background.

WODing post-flu
Thursday I finally started feeling slightly better, so when my husband said "partner WOD?", I couldn't say no. He broke down and bought a rower this week for our at-home box and was dying to use it. Row 3k m While one rows the other completes the following: 5 ghd sit-ups 5 hip extensions 10 squats 10 push-ups Switch until you get 3k m. We finished in 14:04 and I coughed all night, clearly upsetting the flu germs in my lungs. Best way to get rid of the flu is sweat it out right? Today I did a 10 min AMRAP clean ladder. Modified from a typical since my one rep max is so low. I achieved: 20 reps 45# 20 reps 65# 20 reps 70# 17 reps 75# Too many breaks early on. Didn't pace myself right or I would have gotten that last 20. Looking to push a little harder tomorrow.
