I like the guys at our local GameStop, but if this is happening before it even gets to the store...this is a problem.

“Warframe's fast pace, shoot & slash gameplay is mixed with hero powers you’d expect from a game like well… destiny. Movement is tight, flashy & the action gameplay is far more concerned with making you feel empowered than most games are within this genera.” “The game isn't going to make you need to grind loot just to beat a specific challenge, it's going to make you Want to grind loot to see how powerful you can feel!”

My copy’s still shipping, cus of a billing error, but this is what I was hoping for.
That EA’s best game this year would be the exact opposite of their primary business model - a non-live service, single-player RPG.
I hope it’s their best selling game this year. It removes most of their argument for live-service games.

Gaming YouTubers I love
I watch a lot of Youtube, more than I watch Netflix or Hulu or TV itself. It’s where I learn, get my news and info, and my interest specific humor. Whether you watch like I do or occasionally check in to see what the hot videos are, I hope you find new people worth keeping up on by the end of this post.
- Skill Up & Laymen Gaming
Skill Up is run by one guy if memory serves correct. It’s in-depth reviews and honest perspective is something I love very much so. Uncovering gems, exposing frauds, and generally being a passionate gamer with the eloquence of someone that should probably be writing speeches for politicians or something. Seriously this man knows how to speak. Laymen Gaming is the humor channel he does with his brother and honestly, it’s like going from strength to strength. On his own, SkillUp is one thing but with Laymen the casual goofy humor and chemistry between the two are enough for me. Laymen is more for news and just saying trolly things about games in between the headlines and it tickles me every damn time.
- Jim Sterling aka Jim-fucking-Sterling, son
This is the man, the fucking man. Jim Sterling is an enigma wrapped in a riddle, and packaged as a large British man in a suit and top hat. I probably am not doing it justice but I view Jim Sterling’s content as “video game news from a man playing a god”. His snarky attitude is mainly directed at the companies in the gaming industry, not the audience. JS understands that these companies owe everything to us, the gamers, and his pro-consumer approach is second to none. XBOX, PS4, Switch, Steam, it doesn't matter. If it involves gaming and is fucked to all hell, Jim is there behind his podium making sure us, the gaming public, know. Seriously when the great wars start and gamers everywhere must unite to storm every major publisher in the world, Jim Sterling will be our general and lead us into battle. Be it Jim or his wrestling persona Stardust.....hopefully cloning will be a thing by then so we can have both.
- Cleanprincegaming
“Clean” is exactly the word I’d use to describe this channel. I love the presentation that this guy implements. Very smooth and professional as he dives into the games of the time as well as some topics he is generally interested in. Nine times out of ten, it’s worth a watch even if you don’t play/follow the game he’s discussing because you are going to learn something or at least get a different perspective on a topic you may already be pretty sure of. I don’t always agree with Cleanprince but I do enjoy his channel regardless.
- It’sAGundam
Warning: if you’re sensitive, stay away. Just, don’t. Gundam is another passionate Tuber. His passion tends to manifest in a non politically-correct swear-fest that would insult a lot of people depending on their temperament. It’s nothing crazy, nothing hostile or angry. There are YouTubers that use it to troll people and specifically to be an asshole. Gundam vents and in the venting it can get really intense and funny, but the message is never lost. Gundam comes across as someone that might not be able to say much outside curse words if you just skim his videos but I have been reminded things I forgot long ago, transgressions by companies that I overlook entirely because I like the pub/dev that made the game. I love turning off my brain and just letting the facts, numbers, and curse words just rain over me. He’s not a huge channel, but I genuinely believe his conviction and unyielding sense of humor make him worth the time of anyone with the skin to weather his comments.
- DigitalFoundry
I come to DF to learn. All these channels are gonna teach me something but when it comes to the ins and outs of hardware and software. There is no place better. Anti-aliasing, checkerboard rendering, general FPS and what affects it. I never realized how base level my knowledge of games was until I started absorbing their content. I understand gaming mechanics and the basics but deeper knowledge lies here in this channel. If that’s what you’re looking for, look no further.
- ReviewTechUSA
Another news channel that always has something else going on. A lot of times you can get a bunch of content creators talking about the same things. I don’t entirely mind this because I follow a lot of different people with different opinions. ReviewTech is great because I get a lot of background info and PC related issues. I often overlook these things because I myself don’t have a gaming PC. So with the population of PC gaming being as high as it is, I figured that learning about the issues they face and the changes to their industry can only improve the picture I have of the gaming landscape. He’s a smart, concise, and sometimes silly man with so much knowledge and insight that I can’t help but come back time and time again.
- YongYea
There is so much on offer in this channel, big news, little news, interest related and game-specific pieces. It’s all here and it’s all concise and clear. He does a great job of giving you the information and then giving you his opinion. It’s a really small detail but some content creators will sit there and talk like there isn’t actual info and quotes they could be used as evidence to support their opinions. Even when there is a bias he tries to be fair and more importantly, inform you on said bias so that you don’t misconstrue his opinion with the facts. I want to be able to insert personality without losing a drop of integrity the way he does. Yong will always see my next time.
- Madqueen Show
So when Cyberpunk 2077 was announced all those years ago. I just accepted it and sat on my anticipation and emotions until whenever the day came I could purchase my copy. Then I found out that this wasn’t just some new IP, it was a game based on a tabletop game. In my constant search for information on the game, Youtube suggested a channel called Madqueen Show. The wealth of information this woman offers is fucking unreal. From the corporations to the gangs, to the tech available in the world, the different parts of the city and what makes them different. She even has custom “commercials” that take place in the Cyberpunk universe and show off a little of the world in a really really clever way. It’s literally all here and if you’re half as interested in this game as I am, then go to this channel right now and kick back. The Madqueen will educate you and entertain you while doing so.
