                  *** MY CURRENT SKINCARE ROUTINE ***

Happy Sunday everyone! The temperature is hotting up in the UK, so I’m looking forward to next week when I’ll have finished my self-isolation and can fully enjoy it! It’ll also be that time of the month next week (which isn’t as exciting) so I thought I’d share my current skincare routine that’s been altered to cater for my skin’s needs at this time. 

My current line-up includes:

💖 Carbon Theory’s Charcoal & Tea Tree Oil Cleansing Bar - I use this once a day at night, in order to keep away breakout-causing bacteria and to treat any whiteheads or brewing spots that I may have. I feel that any spots I do get disappear much quicker due to this product, so I’m counting on it to keep my face decent when Mother Nature comes to play!

💖 Deliplus Oat Water Facial Spray - I use this as my toning step in my routine. This spray includes Oat Kernel Extract to calm down inflamed skin and to soothe any angry spots. It’s ultra refreshing and a great way to top up my skin’s hydration levels.

💖 Viseger Pharma’s Oil Free Vitamin C Gel Cream - An oil free SPF moisturiser? Sign me up! This is a great way for me to stay protected without irritating my skin with heavier formulas, and really does have heavy-duty sun protection.

💖 Atlantia’s Pure Aloe Vera Gel - This aloe vera has been cold stabilised in order to maintain its effectiveness, and has been harvested from the Canary Islands. It has such a lovely, lightweight texture, and is perfect for bringing down any inflammation while gently moisturising my skin.

In the mornings, I splash my face with lukewarm water then use the Oat Water Facial Spray and the Aloe Vera Gel. If I plan on sitting outdoors or want a thicker base for my make-up, I use the Vitamin C Gel Cream. Then at night, I use the Cleansing Bar before toning with the Oat Water Facial Spray again then apply the Aloe Vera Gel. I avoid exfoliating, face masks and products that include a lot of oils around that time of the month as my skin is ultra reactive and more sensitive than usual. If I’m wearing make-up, I use an oil-based cleanser before diving in with the Cleansing Bar.
