☽ Our muses having no choice but to share a bed.
Our muses to be caught in one of these situational tropes! (These work well for ships, but could be used for all kinds of characters.
It had been a long day of travel and the Demon Weapon was tired. The two had a mission to attend to the next day and they were just about to rest up for then. After the door to their hotel opened Marie headed to the bathroom, intent on changing into her nightgown and getting some sleep as soon as possible.
It wasn’t until she exited the bathroom that she noticed the single bed. Looking to Stein who had already taken a seat on one side, Marie walked to the other. This wasn’t the first time the weapon had been assigned a single bed to a team, yet it would be the first time sleeping with Stein.
With a shake of her head, Marie lay on the bed trying to calm herself, watching the ceiling. This was just part of the mission, nothing serious. Despite telling herself that, when Stein laid down too her soul once filled with emotions. Exhaustion was most prominent; yet anxiety, nerves, uncertainty, worry, even a little fear shown through. No she wasn’t afraid of Stein, Marie was fearful she way hurt him by accident.
Closing her eye the weapon tried to relax. Under all those other emotions however, contentment would peak through. Marie felt happy, secure, even relaxed as she lay there trying to collect herself. After a moment, and reigning in most of the negative emotions, did the blonde look back to Stein. Noticing how he was looking at her, likely watching her soul, a small smile appeared on her features.
“I’m alright, just...” Trailing off, embarrassment tugged at her now. “Not used to sleeping with someone.” The words were soft, but not too much more quiet than usual. Closing her eyes again, Marie once more turned to face the ceiling. It was late and they had an early mission tomorrow, sleep was needed.
