12 meaningful albums
tagged again by the cutie @devintownsends (happy belated birthday!!!!!) 1: Demon Days - Gorillaz: the first actual album I purchased on my own that wasn’t Sailor Moon or Hampsterdance. Each song is so different to the next, and plays into the Gorillaz universe perfectly. 2: 1# - CLINT FLICK: Given to me by Scarab, the bassist of CLINT FLICK, it was my first introduction to music that was punk as fuck. Soooooo much of my teenage angst was released through this album, and if it wasn’t for CLINT FLICK, I wouldn’t have met my cousin, my boyfriend, or most of my friends. 3: Veil of Ignorance - Raised Fist: Dude, just listen to the lyrics. 4: Addicted - Devin Townsend: The first non SYL album I listened to fully by the Devman. Anneke’s vocals are etherial, and the album Dev was kind enough to sign for my sister @mistyangle1 5: Epicloud - Devin Townsend. Because it’s EPIC LOUD! (I could fill this list entirely with Devin, but where is the fun in that) 6: The Wall - Pink Floyd: The soundtrack to my childhood 7: Steal This Album - System of a Down: Never knew this was b-sides until recently, but Chic ‘n’ Stu and Fuck The System molded me in my early teenage years and influenced my music taste since then 8: S3RL F#@%!$ Presents- Dj S3rl: I’ve loved S3rl since he was X-ray, but this is my fave collection of songs by him, they just work well together. 9:Stranger then Fiction: Bad Religion: again, listen to the lyrics maaaaan. 10: Hitler Bad, Vandals Good - The Vandals: The Vandals, nuff said. 11: Genexus - Fear Factory: amazing album <3 Expiration Date may just be my favorite song. 12: Sailing the Seas of Cheese - Primus: my first introduction to Primus and the wonderful world of Les Claypool <3 If you’re reading this, consider yourself tagged, and tag me so I can read your list in return!
