It’s Her...

The Time Keeper actually combines many of the abilities seen in previous enemies into one rather vicious boss fight. Timing can, appropriately, add a lot to this fight, as getting her second-phase lair action off early can give her a lot of extra survivability.

I did consider creating a regional effect for the time loop, but decided that something that complex is best left to DM discretion. As a suggestion, though: anyone who finishes a short or long rest within the time loop is caught within it. A creature caught within it cannot leave the effected area, and, whenever it dies or finishes a long rest, is reset to the location and state it was in when it finished that initial rest.

(Also I’m aware that half of her lair actions don’t exist in the actual fight, but come on. Look me in the eyes and tell me she doesn’t deserve them.)

*The clock room*

There is a room beneath the castle that has been sealed by king Uther.

Legend says that this room contained devices that could lead you to a person that misses you gravely. No matter in which time or place.

And no matter how much time you'd spend with them in their time, only one hour would pass in this world.

Even if your body had altered in this different time, when you returned, it would not have changed at all.

However, you can not repeat the same journey twice. You could return to this time, spend years and age here. Then go to the room again and continue the journey where you left it though.

Uther thought of it as supersticion, but really it was just that there was no person who'd ever miss him. No one except for Arthur of course, but Uther never dared try it. It was too close to magic.

But after the ghost incident, Arthur remembered the room and decided to explore. Who would miss him? It's said that the amount of devices in the room would tell you how many people in how many times would miss you. When Arthur entered, alone, all by himself, he found the room was huge. Wide and dark. As though a forest had grown in here. And in all corners and on all shelves, walls, the ground, where clocks. Tiny ticking things that waited to be picked up.

Strange, arthur would think, as Uther had said there was only one device in here.

As soon as Arthur touched the first device, he felt himself be thrown through time and space. And when he opened his eyes, he saw a completely new world. One without soldiers and swords or horses and peasants.

In this strange futuristic land that some weird looking people called school (really they didn't even care how weird he looked himself with his armor on. So Arthur wouldn't judge them either. Students)

Arthur found a familiar face. Merlin who greeted him like he had expected him to come.

The once and future king, so it turned out, was his name because he would appear and reappear in different times to spend the time with Merlin. Years, lifetimes until his clock run out and he'd return to his own time, back to his old youth.

Future merlin told him everything. Except for one thing: how Arthur died. And Arthur had to promise not to worry present merlin or tell the manservant anything.

And arthur did his best not to alter the timeline too much. Still, it was kind of hard knowing your best friend couldn't die. And the first lifetime you spend together, he'd see you die. But Arthur still had time. And many - many clocks to go through
