🚨 12 martyrs ascended in a new massacre as a result of the IOF bombing a home in the center of Khan Younis in the southern #Gaza Strip, and 5 other martyrs ascended in the bombing of a tent west of the city.
In the central #Gaza Strip, a martyr ascended as a result of a drone strike in Deir Al-Balah and IOF warplanes bombed the electricity company in Maghazi.
A martyr also ascended as a result of quadcopter fire in Gaza City in the north.
This is what the International Olympic Committee calls 'not an issue'.
New lesbian/sapphic crush just dropped :')
Korean women's pistol shooter Kim Ye-ji breaks a world record and wins gold at the 2024 World Cup event in Azerbaijan, qualifying for the Paris Olympics where she won Silver.
I think we as a nation [Olympics obsessed community] have moved past the need for NBC to constantly fixate on an athlete and label them as "undefeatable." When will they learn that when they center their entire programming on ONE athlete, you put immense mental pressure on them when everything they do all boils down to their MENTAL GAME. NBC should actually not be allowed to try and market athletes as gold medalist before or during the games. I said what I said. NBC and other broadcasters globally should only be allowed to tell casuals about the athletes - story, background, history, nothing more. No IFs.
Hellooo! 🫶🫶
I had a lot of ideas, but I'm settling on this one for now, what about a summer olympic reader whos participating in rhythmic gymnastics or archery? Thank you!
i love the olympic request
The Summer Games had more anxiety than anything for her. The Olympic Games had crowds roaring, cameras flashing, the air buzzing with pressure and pride. Something she wasn’t used to.
And somehow, in the middle of all that noise, she couldn’t hear anything except her own heartbeat.
Backstage at the archery range, she paced in tight circles, bow in hand, fingers tapping nervously against it. Her breaths came too fast, too shallow.
“I can’t do this,” she muttered, shaking her head. “Nope. Absolutely not. I’m gonna pass out. I’m gonna miss every shot. I’m gonna….”
“…dramatically spiral before even stepping out?”
She stopped.
Ilia leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed, watching her with a grin he was trying and failing to hide.
“This is serious,” she snapped, though there was no heat behind it. Just nerves.
“I know,” he said, pushing off the wall and walking toward her. “You’re terrifyingly intense right now. Kinda impressive.”
She groaned, dragging a hand down her face. “Ilia…”
He softened immediately, stepping closer, hands finding her arms.
“Hey,” he said gently. “You’ve been training for this forever. You’re literally one of the best out there.”
“That doesn’t help,” she whispered, eyes wide. “Just…just tell me I’ll do fine.”
For a second, he just looked at her like he was memorizing the moment.
Then he leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head.
“You’ll do fine, my badass princess.”
She let out a shaky breath, shoulders finally dropping as the tension eased just a little.
“Okay,” she nodded. “Okay… I can do this.”
As she turned and started walking toward the entrance, he called out.
“Babe!”
She turned, eyebrows raised.
He smiled, that easy, confident smile that always steadied her.
“Shoot straight.”
A small smile tugged at her lips. “I’ll do my best.”
Then she stepped out into the light.
The competition was brutal.
Shot after shot, she and the Canadian favorite went neck and neck perfect form, near perfect scores, the tension building with every arrow released.
The crowd barely breathed.
Final round.
The Canadian archer stepped up first and just barely faltered. A tiny slip. A fraction off.
It wasn’t obvious unless you were looking for it.
But she saw it.
And suddenly, everything slowed.
This was it.
She stepped up to the line, lifting her bow. The world blurred at the edges as she pulled the string back.
and then, instinctively, her eyes flicked to the stands.
To him.
Ilia stood there, hands gripping the railing, eyes locked on her.
He mouthed, clear as day
“You’ve got this.”
She exhaled.
Steady.
Focused.
Certain.
The arrow flew.
Perfect.
Dead center.
Gold.
The stadium erupted.
She barely registered it.
Barely registered the medal being placed around her neck, the anthem, the cameras
Because the second she was free, she was running.
Straight to him.
“I DID IT BABE I DID IT!!!”
She was laughing, breathless, bouncing on her toes like she might actually explode.
Ilia just laughed, eyes bright, shaking his head like he couldn’t believe her and also like he totally could.
“Yes you did, baby.”
She finally launched into his arms, wrapping around him tight.
“I’m so happy I could burst,” she said into his shoulder.
He hugged her just as tight. “You deserve a celebration.”
That night was soft and golden.
A quiet dinner tucked away from the chaos. warm lights, clinking glasses, her medal resting against her collarbone as she laughed across the table from him.
Finally, no pressure.
A month later, everything flipped.
Now it was his turn for the deduction.
Training for the Winter Games was relentless, but she was there for all of it.
Early morning runs where she kept pace beside him, teasing him when he slowed down.
Gym sessions where she pushed him harder than any coach ever could.
Meal prepping together, music playing, her bumping her hip into his while he tried to focus.
“You’re evil,” he’d complain.
“You’ll thank me when you win,” she’d shoot back.
And then, just like that, the Winter Olympics arrived. Faster than expected. Fastest two years ever.
This time, she was in the stands.
Loud. Unapologetic. Completely his.
“ILIA LET’S GO!” she screamed, hands cupped around her mouth.
Right before his team event skate, she grabbed his hands, grounding him the same way he had for her.
They breathed together.
“I can do this,” he said.
She nodded, eyes steady. “Yes you can.”
She leaned up, pressing a quick kiss to his lips. “Gotta go find my seat.”
“Okay,” he said, squeezing her hands. “Wish me luck.”
She grinned. “Good luck, raspberry twist.”
He laughed, shaking his head as she ran off.
He skated like magic.
Every jump, every landing…perfect.
When the scores came in and the team secured gold, the arena exploded.
He hugged his teammates, adrenaline rushing
Then he looked up.
Found her.
Blew her a kiss.
She caught it, laughing, sending one right back.
After the ceremony, he barely made it down the hallway before,
“There you are.”
He turned.
And there she was.
“I’m so proud of you, baby.”
He didn’t even hesitate pulling her in and kissing her sweetly.
“Couldn’t do this without you.”
They stayed like that for a moment, wrapped up in each other, the noise of everything else fading away.
Then she pulled back slightly, smiling.
“Let’s get you ready for the rest of this.”
“Okay,” he said, lacing his fingers with hers.
He paused.
“…but first…”
She raised an eyebrow.
“Gelato.”
She laughed, squeezing his hand.
“Obviously.”
And together, gold medals and all, they disappeared down the hallway making flavor choices.
