♬ - a friend/best friend memory
“A friend memory? Oh man! Can we talk about my first impression of Prince Hans? Huh? Can we?” Charming became alive at mention of the cold prince, but not because they were particularly good friends - because it was such a memorable first impression that turned into an..okay friendship.
“We were at a competition for our Academies, boating or something like that. I had heard of this guy before, 13th son of the Southern Isles I think, but he was supposed to be brilliant. Top of his class, the smartest kid to ever exist. So I thought, ‘he can’t be that great, could he?’ So I started asking around, just because I was curious, and I began to form an opinion.
“Everyone said that he was a pretty interesting guy. They never said anything particularly bad, but they never said anything particularly good either.” Charming laughed to himself, excited for the punchline.
“The day of the competition, I spent time trying to find this guy, it was like I was a girl looking for her lost love or something of the sort, and now that I look back on it, it’s hilarious. But the moment I saw him, I..don’t tell him this, okay? He’d hold it over my head forever, but I was a little starstruck I think. He seemed really cool. His hair did that cool flippy thing that mine doesn’t do, and I’ve always wanted to do that.
“Anyway, I saw him, and I just though, woah. And then I met him and it went down hilll. Turned out he could be a real jerk.” Charming began to pout like he was a child. “Well, we’re kind of friends now, so I guess it’s okay.”
((I’m sorry Charming lost his composure. He gets really excited when he talks about Prince Hans. It’s like he thinks they’re rivals or something - he’s never really had a rival, so...))
✤ - a memory that involves romance/love
“Romance? Love? Ohoho.” Lumiere raised a waxy eyebrow and his lips spread into a smile. “Mon ami, you know that a man is never to romance and tell. It is a private matter of the heart, non?” he chided.
He was 10 years old, what he thought to be a charming young man, and a little over confident. Lumiere had been around his entire village and knew every face and name. He knew the children, he knew the businessmen, and, most importantly, he knew the women. He would often practice his charms and debonair smile upon them, failing more often than not and end up getting laughed away, but never did his confidence waiver.
“They may not like me today, but they will see,” he would whisper to himself as he got ready in the mornings. It became a tradition for him, a sort of ritual, that he could take comfort in. And growing up in his household, it was all he could do to keep going.
There was, however, one young girl he was particularly infatuated with; Marie. Marie, for a 10 year old, was beautiful. She had eyes of emerald green and hair of the golden sun. Her wit as quick as a fox, her smile just as wonderful. Lumiere thought he was in love. So he told her. And she said yes.
It was a young love, innocent in every way. They would walk together, talk together, be together whenever they were permitted. They told each others secrets, but it only lasted for a few weeks. “You’re leaving?”
“Oui,” she said, her hand upon his. “My papa thinks we will have better luck in the village several towns over, but it’s a long way away. I do not think..” Her eyes began to fill with tears and she retracted her hand, moving it to her face.
Lumiere embraced her, holding her tight. “I’m going to miss you, Marie...” They held onto each other for several moments, neither wanting to ever let go.
“I’m going to miss you, mi amour. I..” She blushed and looked to her feet. Lumiere took her hand, but before he could say anything, she kissed his cheek and ran off. He stood there, stunned. His hand moved to the still tingling spot on his face where her lips had graced his skin.
“The next day..she was gone.” Lumiere smiled to himself, looking at the ground. And I never saw her again.
❥ - a childhood memory
The tiny phoenix hopped along the ground below his claws, wings flapping up a frenzy with every hop. For a moment he felt his ebony claws lift off the ground and he flapped his wings even harder. He landed with a soft thud on the grass. He clicked his beak in annoyance and picked himself up.
A light laugh caused him to turn and glare at the one laughing. ‘It’s not that funny!’ The child snapped.
Aesuithiel’s laughter faded like a spring breeze and her crystal clear blue eyes faced the fluffy phoenix. “Oh calm yourself Sparkles.” She hummed softly. “You’ll get the hang of flight eventually.”
With a huff Urúvion shifted into human form and walked over to plop down next to his sister. “That’s a lie, I can’t even stay off the ground for more then a minute!” The child complained as he crossed his arms.
“You just have to keep trying. Sure you’ll fail a few times but you’ll get it.” The Goddess of the air said as she reached her porcelain arms towards her pouty brother and pulled him into a hug. “Hey, at least you have someone here to help you. I had to learn all on my own.” Aesuithel pointed out.
Urúvion sighed and though he didn’t return the hug he at least could help leaning into it. His sister was very cold complained to him and sometimes it was a nice comfort. “I...guess your right.” He mumbled.
The goddess’s pale rose lips curled into a smile as she patted her brother’s head. “Indeed. Now, why don’t you give flying one more try?”
✍ - a memory of their mother
It was the day that silence was banned from Atlantica.
Aquata and her sisters were goofing off in the lagoon with their parents, sometimes swimming with each other, sometimes the other merfolk, sometimes with the parents.
Aquata and her sisters watched from behind a rock as their father presented their mother with a music box that played their song. Aquata and her sisters all giggled in unison, the heiress being their leader.
Of course, the happiness wasn’t to last forever. They just hadn’t expected it to change so rapidly.
Athena was the first to notice the ship. A pirate ship, they all knew that pirates were not going to treat the merfolk with kindness. (granted, the didn’t believe any human would, but pirates were worse). In a hurry, Triton grabbed his daughters at the command of their mother and dove into the water.
That was the last she ever saw of her mother.
To this day, anytime she sees a pirate ship, a small amount of anger builds inside of her. She rarely acts on it, but if any ship is to face the wrath of Aquata, they had better be prepared to see Kingdom Come.
Sliding up beside the beauty on the beach, Clopin gave a twist of his hand, a flower appearing. "You are adorable." the jester winked, offering her the bloom.
A little startled when the man slid next to her, Aquata found herself blushing and at a loss for words as he offered the flower.
Once she recovered her voice (sorry, Ariel), Aquata took the flower from the man, “Thank you.” After she took a short sniff of the flower, Aquata returned her attentions to the new man, “I’m Aquata, who might you be?”
What is this, The Army? {DRP Summer Camp} Clopin and Grimhilde
5. We got in trouble… Peel potatoes in the galley!
Turn the potato. Run the blade across the potato. Imagine said blade is running across a certain someone’s throat. Turn the potato. Repeat process.
If Queen Grimhilde of Wildungen had not been undercover in a camp looking for the Twittering Idiot and trying to keep a low profile, she would not have allowed any petty dictator push her into a greasy pit of a kitchen and hand her a bucket of potatoes to peel. She did, however, feel quite pleased that her frosty glare and caused the man to pale several shades lighter in the space of a few seconds. A personal best.
Turn the potato. Run the blade across the potatoe.
It was all his fault. Her nemesis. Her greatest foe. And she would have her revenge as soon as the last potato was peeled. No one could ever say that Queen Grimhilde was not thorough.

"See you at camp!"
2 Make friendship bracelets, and then wear them!
(OOC: They’re one big family!! I am seeing this as a teen!Clopin AU? :D)
Thomas was the one who had found Clopin for her, something that Primrose appreciated greatly. After all, she couldn’t be everywhere at once. What with all the children they had running around the camp - Iris was off somewhere with her friends, then there was the twins Antoni and Michal who were no doubt driving some poor Camp Counselor mad with their antics, and little Freya on her lap sorting through the numerous colourful pieces of ribbon she had liberated from a craft activity.
Well - habit.
Besides. Neither Rose nor Primrose particularly wanted to participate in a group-led activity of making bracelets, but it seemed like a good bonding activity for family only. Only family should get to see family get this embarrassed, after all. And she loved her family enough to make sure they got ample opportunity to be open about their feelings - like embarrassment. It was healthy!
