Crowley arrives for an outing to the Ritz, only to find Aziraphale all in a pother about an overdue Heavenly re-certification exam. What’s a demon to do but come to his angel’s aid? Industrial-volume drinking, close calls and confessions ensue.

Unabashed, s2-defiant getting-together fluff.

“Fill in the halo beside your answer completely, using blue or black gallnuts –” Crowley skimmed down the Directions page. “Sounds rude.”

“They really haven’t moved with the times. I just use a good Waterman.”

“Do not compare answers with your colleagues – to avoid cheating, no two of the Host will receive the same randomly generated test –”

“That’s new. I suppose they’ve upgraded the technology.”

“ – submit all answer sheets, in the proper order, by midnight of the deadline date – Right, let’s get the worst of it over with then.” Crowley pulled a wafer-thin, refracting disc out of a slot in the folder and spun it like a Frisbee into the space between them, where it continued to rotate until a holographic image of Gabriel, in all his lavender magnificence, appeared suspended in mid-air, semi-transparently visible from the chest up.

“Archangels, Seraphim and Cherubim; Thrones, Dominions and Virtues; Powers and –” he cleared his throat. “Principalities. Welcome to this year’s training module."

7: Sci-Fi This is not calmer.

One could make an argument that most of the Sonic franchise is sci-fi, but the first thing I thought of was the third season of Sonic X, when they went into space in a big spaceship that Tails built. So that was my inspiration for this fill.

(And I had fun with the banter and callbacks in this one. Also Sonic calling out Shadow for the absolute obtuseness in his refusal to explain himself in the original episode, at least in the dub.)
