Random thought but i think the concept of a mancave is actually pretty sad. Cuz theyre generally painted as the one area of the house that a man has any actual control over in terms of decorating. Regardless of the level of truth that has, I've heard my sister-in-laws joke about needing to hide my brothers' stuff. To tuck it away into their "own space" because having your dbz figure collection on proud display in the living room is "embarrassing". My oldest brother has a couple trinkets on a shelf above his desk but otherwise keeps everything tucked away in a closet cuz his wife poked fun at his cute little nerd stuff. And honestly I just can't help but think that if my hypothetical partner moved in with me and looked at my prized collection of things that make me happy and help me express myself and told me I needed to put it somewhere guests couldnt see cuz its "embarassing" I'd be SO hurt. I'd shrivel up and die right then and there.
