TW: Gender dysphoria!
Dysphoria ain't just being uncomfortable.
Dysphoria is starting to cry when you wear something that makes you look feminine. Dysphoria is shifting around because nothing sits right. Dysphoria is hiding in your room, so no one can perceive you as feminine.
Dysphoria is not liking your own voice. Dysphoria is wanting to cry about being dead named. Dysphoria is not raising your hand in class, so you don't get called up and have to hear your dead name or voice, and risking your grades.
Dysphoria is zoning out, feeling like you're watching your body from the outside. Dysphoria is crying about your body at night. Dysphoria is feeling like you're never going to pass.
Dysphoria is feeling watched at all times. Dysphoria is not being able to use the bathroom that aligns with your gender in public. Dysphoria is not liking to go out because you could be perceived as female.
Dysphoria ain't just being uncomfortable. It's being in pain on your own. It's suffering in silence.
