Fictional Places Moodboards // Cloud Kingdom
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.
I'm back on my bullshit
Some more stuff on the Cloud Kingdom's inhabitants:
-Their species is called Nefi, based on the Ancient Greek word for cloud.
-They don't have gender. Yes, they use he/him pronouns and call each other brother, but that doesn't make them men. (This was based off the fact that all the relevant ones in canon sans one are men. In other words, trans girl Euphrasia)
-They reproduce asexually. In their true, cloudy seraphim forms, Nefi seperate a piece or rarely pieces of their cloudy selves and those pieces go on to develop into children. It's not very fun, what with the ripping a piece of themselves off, even if they are cloudy.
-Once the children are made, they are taken and raised communally. The concept of parents and siblings isn't really a thing.
-Asexuality is the norm.
-Romance is treated kinda like friendship plus. The plus? Touch. They are a rather reserved culture.
-Marriage isn't a thing.
-Their humanoid shapes have barbie doll anatomy.
-Related Nefi don't look alike in their humanoid shapes.
-They don't actually control destiny and are insted more like the universe's record keepers.
-The feelings of superiority are off the charts.
lost anon
You've unlocked: Frienship+! Stat boosts: +2 to touch, +2 to friendship
I do love the idea they're more inhuman. I'm also a lover of winged Cloud Kingom people, but I'm loving the cloud idea too :0 also TRANSFEM EURPHRASIA this single post has convinced me I hadn't even thought of it
Cloud kingdom father and daughter 😼
Civilian memes post-merge YET AGAIN
So far we have 3 confirmed realms that house sentient anthropomorphic animals. The Serpentine are the only ones who have been semi-confirmed to have a chance to be related to Chima. So I think it'd be really funny if most of Chima ends up vibing with people from the Wyldness WAYYY better than the Serpentine. Just to be annoying

Kuromi [In the Cloud Kingdom]
a little piece inspired by My Melody and Kuromi, which is a really well done stop motion series starring two silly bunnies and lots of desserts
----------Cloud Style Disney Princesses----------
I was making Rapunzel, and came across this Cloud dress that I thought suited her really well, and it inspired my to try and make other Disney princesses using clothing elements either tagged as Cloud, or with Cloud Kingdom designers (cause the tag system leaves out so many items ;_;)
Oh! I read a while ago a theory on pinterest about morro being from the cloud kingdom, would love to read your morro's backstory hc 👍
Oh yeah, I kinda forgot to mention he is from Cloud Kingdom. I hc the writers of Destiny have wings. Anyway, here's the story of how element of wind ended up in the Cloud Kingdom:
A long ago a master of wind(not the first!) found her way into the Cloud Kingdom, terribly injured. The monks helped her recover and once she was well, insisted she return to her own realm. However, the master of wind had fallen in love with one of the writers and promised her to find a way to return.
Once back in Ninjago, she looked for a way to reunite with her lover and found an unstable portal between two realms located high in the sky, moving and invisible to naked eye. She called upon her element and created the Blind Man's Eye, a tornado that would help her locate the portal. She would climb the highest mountain in the realm and from it's peak fly in to enter the realm.
Unfortunately, their secret romance couldn't last long. Once the two had a child, the element passed on and the now former master of wind was unable to come to the Cloud Kingdom anymore. The writer raised their child and the element of wind would pass on to her descendants.
But the rules of the Cloud Kingdom started changing, becoming more strict and so, the family of wind masters hid their power. They made their children wear vengestone until they could properly control their powers.
Everything changed with Fenwick(who is not thousands of years old here. Writers have pretty much the same lifespan as humans). He wanted to become the master writer but knew his brother, Quanish, would be the one chosen. So he made a deal with the Cursed realm, believing that once he was master writer he would be untouchable. He summoned the general of the Cursed realm at the time to help him.
Bansha helped him set-up Quanish, so he would be banished and then gather blackmail or threaten the necessary people for Fenwick to obtain the title of the master writer. One of these people, however, was Morro's mom. Upon learning about the masters of wind, Fenwick stole the vengestone jewelry from baby Morro and exposed the two.
Morro's mom and Morro were banished to Ninjago despite her husband's(Morro's bio dad) efforts. Their scrolls were locked away, destinies never written. We'll come back to them later since I want to explain what else happened in the Cloud Kingdom:
Fenwick did become master writer. The element of wind, angered by the fate of its chosens, completely abandoned the realm. Writers of Destiny, upon realizing their islands weren't moving, begrudgingly had to adapt technology from other realms, which is the mechanism we see in DR. Pissed by that, Fenwick convinced everyone to have their own revenge. Masters of wind were completely erased from history. Even the first master of wind, victory over Wojira credited to Nyad alone.
Returning to Morro's mom. She barely made her way to civilization and realized they didn't blend in. While she could hide her wings ,(cloud kingdom magic), her baby was too young to know how. She did what she had to. Cut off their wings and other feathers and burned them. She soon died and her orphan child grew up in the streets. Morro only remembered his mother by the pain and the scars on his back but if he listened to the wind, he could hear her voice claiming to love him (elements are sentient. They remember their masters and some, like wind and water, can share these memories). He knew his name from the wind, knew he was named so because his parents met on a hill. (He chose to have the name he would have if he was born a boy bc trans Morro).
Wu, prophecy, all that we know.
Then he was dying and his soul was cursed (I hc the curse to be his own but whatever suits you). This is when Cloud Kingdom would usually interfere. The monks would redirect souls undeserving of the Cursed realm to Departed realm, usually children whose souls were sold by parents or people with cursed bloodlines, that sort of stuff. Sometimes they didn't notice or it wouldn't work(not that they would admit it), of course, and then those people would end up in the Cursed realm anyway. But Morro? His scroll was locked away, forever empty and so, there was noone to save his soul. He died never knowing his past and he went to the Cursed realm.
