i have a vague recollection of a fic i read where cloud time travels back into his younger body, sneaks into the shinra mansion, and lies down on top of vincent's casket and speaks to him through the wood and it was so cute and i cant remember the fic 😭

"Is hard to believe we've been dating for a year now?"

At Vincent's question, Cloud could only smirk. "Yeah, but I'm glad we stuck it out for so long." He answered as he raised his wine glass.

Vincent smiled as well and clunk glasses with Cloud.

They decided to spend their little anniversary by the beach. It was a nice break from their normally busy lives. Vincent even went as far as to prepare a picnic for the two of them to enjoy as the sun was going down. Needless to say, it was a very relaxing evening.

"I have another question for you."

"Yeah, what's up?"

"What would you like us to be in the future?"

Cloud paused for a thought before laughing a little. "Well that's easy."

"Easy?"

"I want to be with you, married even. Living somewhere nice and cozy, the world's not in any danger." He answered. "Just you, me, maybe a couple of kids running around too." He chuckled.

Vincent kissed the top of Cloud's forehead. "That sounds so wholesome. I like it."

"Even having kids?"

Vincent smirked. "As you see fit~"
