I did a bit of meddling about with the Cloud UI Recolour tool by @cowplantcartel and wound up creating this maxis-matchy (ish) recolour!
I've also included a download for my TS2-style font replacement - which was created on the basis of @ohrudi 's tutorial & mod!
You can also use the TS2 font replacement with any other UI (I've just included it here because it fits the theme)
➡️ Download the Font & The UI Here! (SFS)
Download the files and place both (or just one of them, if you want one or the other) in your Sims 3 -> Mods -> Overrides folder
I've also included the patches for various mods in a zip file - if you have any of the following mods, download the 'Mod Patches' zip and plop the corresponding patch (.package) file in your mods folder:
Thank you so much to the wonderfully talented CowPlantCartel & their recolour tool which made this possible!
Thank you so much to OhRudi for the font replacement mod - I take absolutely no credit for the basis of that mod, I just edited it in SimPE following their tutorial to switch it out for the TS2 font
TS2-Style Font is from here
If you want the TS4 icon replacements as seen in my screenshots, you can find them here from xFairyExterminatorx on MTS
The TS2 CAS Background featured in the screenshots is by LamonTarte here
CloudUI's Credits:
p182 (https://github.com/p182) for building the Python script to turn the recoloured output files into a .package file, and for building refpack_pipe.exe which compresses the file (https://github.com/p182/refpack-pipe)
David_mtv, coregirl, momomomomoi, sidereus23 and sims3loveforlife for translations used in the loading screen text
Arro, Butterbot, Cmar, xFairyExterminatorx, Lazy Duchess and gamefreak130 for creating the original mods used to create the Patches in this tool
emelie.ikj for the loading screen text base files
Additional Info:
Muted Maxis UI will be incompatible with any other UI mod - and if you're replacing a previous UI you had installed, make sure you fully remove all the files associated with it from your mods folder
TS2 Style Font Replacement will also be incompatible with any other font replacement mod
If you want to make your own font replacment check out OhRudi's mod & tutorial here
If you want to make your own cloudUI recolour check out the tool here
Let me know if you have any issues!
I'd also love to see if u use this in game & post it so feel free to tag me :)
Gruvbox UI themes (based on @cowplantcartel's Cloud UI)
Update 2026/02/14: themes have been updated, see changes HERE. Old Mediafire and Mega links are dead and have been removed, see below for new ones! Cursors remain unchanged.
(Screenshots presented without Reshade or other editing, aside from cropping. Patches active: Arro Clean Main Menu, cowplantcartel Pretty Pause Frame. The cursors are shown above at various degrees of magnification, from 200-300%.)
Aaand the final theme pack, at least for now, is a calming set using the Gruvbox palette. This time I was a bit disappointed at not getting to use more of the pretty colors in the light and dark themes, so I made a colorful variant as well. As for the cursors, some of them are recycled from my Witch Hazel Hypercolor and Nord themes, as I felt that they came out pretty well.
⚠️ Issues (Gruvbox Colorful only): the scrolling text on the welcome screen, as well as some dark gray UI elements, may be difficult to make out.
ℹ️ Use only one UI replacement + one cursor scheme at a time! Of course, you can also use them independently of each other. The theme archives also contain the color codes, so you can fine-tune them to your liking if you wish.
ℹ️ If you are using Arro's More CAS Rows v2.0+, you don't need to also use the respective patches included in this download.

All of you for using the previous iterations of Cloud UI and sending me your feedback. This really just started with me wanting to build myself a cute pink UI, but you all inspired me to keep it going 💕
Hey, I'm Zoey and I'm a new simblr. I don't have much to say about myself other than i really love cats and kpop demon hunters. Of course I can't forget about the sims lol. I just learned how to make my own UI using the Cloud UI Recolour Tool by @cowplantcartel and wanted to share what I had made. If you'd like to test out the one I created the download link is below!
Credits: thanks to @cowplantcartel for the new interface! I started with the Cloud Pink UI and then changed it to the Cloud Purple UI
Alice: Hello, dear friends! Today we’re finishing our journey in Shang Simla. It’s also our last day travelling to foreign towns of The Sims 3 world. So, let’s make the most of it!
Catherine: Our first goal for today is the Land of the Ancestors. You might be surprised that we decided to visit a cemetery in the morning. But just look at that place on top of the hill — it’s a real masterpiece of architecture! People at our base camp recommended it to us, so we headed there right after breakfast.
Alice: It’s not very common in our culture, but people here prefer to cremate the dead instead of burying them in the ground. We didn’t try to find out why — maybe because digging in the mountains is difficult.
Catherine: Anyway, the ashes of ancestors are kept here in special funeral urns. These are beautiful Chinese vases, and the locals have placed them in different parts of the hill. They’ve tried to decorate these places as much as possible. All the vases stand on pedestals, and some of them are even set near alcoves in the traditional style!
Alice: There’s also a mausoleum building at the very top. It’s a really beautiful structure, we enjoyed looking at it. But we decided not to go inside. Of course, there’s another museum of funeral culture, but unfortunately, we don’t have time for that. We have so many interesting things planned for the rest of the day!
Catherine: We came down from the hill to our next destination. But on the way we saw an interesting place and wanted to take a quick look.
Alice: It was a nice abandoned barn with a yard and a pond around it. First, we noticed a few seeds from uncommon plants there. We grabbed them and then decided to look inside the barn.
Catherine: We discovered that the barn had a basement, and there were a few chests with treasures! For example, we found a money bag and a precious stone.
Alice: We also grabbed a few handfuls of ancient coins. We don’t know why we still collect them, since we can’t buy anything with them at our current visa levels. Maybe we do it just for fun!
Catherine: After that, we tried to clear away piles of hay on the first floor. We hoped to find something else, but there was too much hay and we got tired quickly.
Alice: Actually, I didn’t get tired as quickly as Catherine. I tried to clear the floor with the last of my strength, but then I had to admit defeat.
Catherine: While Alice was doing that, I fished a bit in the pond. And I caught two big doitsu koi!
Alice: That was a real joy, because it was time for lunch. We fried the fish over a campfire and ate it. It was really tasty and gave us strength to keep going.
Catherine: We continued on our way and even found an uncut stone along the path. Then we reached our next destination: the rice fields.
Alice: These fields have a special structure. They’re built on a slope, in the form of steps. This is necessary for proper irrigation, since rice requires a constant level of water. The sloped, terraced shape of field makes watering easier and helps conserve more water.
Catherine: It was really interesting to see such a field in person. Besides being functional, it’s also very beautiful!
Alice: There’s our next location below the field. It’s an abandoned boat station located near a beautiful, calm lake. It seems people haven’t used the station for many years. These boats and berths are very old, and only their frames remain.
Catherine: We found out that these boats are called junks. I can also say that they aren’t just boats. They’re traditional Chinese sailing ships, and they’re pretty big. At least 10 people could fit inside. It would be interesting to see how they looked and worked in the past. We will definitely find and look at their pictures after the journey. But now, of course, we have to continue our path.
Alice: We headed to the local resort called Hot Springs. It’s a big complex in a lowland with ponds, a pool, a bar, and some lounge areas.
Catherine: Honestly, it’s not as interesting inside as we hoped. We decided to use only the pool. There’s no sea here in Shang Simla, so we were glad to have even this opportunity to swim.
Alice: After that, we relaxed a bit on sun loungers near the pool.
Catherine: At the same time, we had the chance to show you our new nice swimsuits!
Alice: Then we visited a park near Hot Springs. It’s called Dragon Springs. There are also some lakes and lounge areas here, as well as a lot of walking paths.
Catherine: We also didn’t find anything interesting there, so we just took a sunbath in one picturesque spot in the park.
Alice: After such a good rest, we headed to the next sight. It’s the main cult building of Shang Simla – the Temple of Heaven. It’s a huge and beautiful temple, symmetrical on all four sides. It’s surrounded by a spacious square with pine trees and stairs.
Catherine: For now, the building is under reconstruction. There are no shrines, statues, or other items inside. The only one thing that we could visit there is the observation deck on the highest floor. So, we went up there.
Alice: We climbed a few long stairs and finally got to the top. I can say, we have not come this way in vain. The view from above was amazing, even better than from our base camp!
Catherine: Then the evening came, and we had to prepare for the end of our journey. We decided to spend this evening in the Forbidden City. First, we came back to the Shang Simla Market.
Alice: As usual, we sold unnecessary finds at the relic store. We also exchanged money from the wallets we found for our currency.
Catherine: Then we visited the café. We wanted something sweet, so we noticed a machine making fortune cookies. Of course, we decided to try them. And my first cookie was lucky – I received a good fortune!
Alice: I liked my cookie and had a good fortune too. It was so funny and inspiring that we wanted to buy such a cookie maker for ourselves.
Catherine: We went to the general goods store and bought it. Besides, we bought a few other interesting things. After that, we decided to finish our shopping for today.
Alice: Well then, dear viewers! Our trip is over, and we are standing at the Emperor’s Plaza now. It’s so beautiful here, even in the late evening!
Catherine: And this darkness will help us finish our journey solemnly! After all, it's not by chance that we bought a few fireworks!
Alice: So, let’s light up the place! Well, first we need to set them on fire right here…
Catherine: And now – we’re running to the side and covering our ears! The sound promises to be loud! Goodbye, dear friends!
Been working on this for about two weeks and cannot tell you how happy I am to finally be (kinda) done with it 😭 This is a major update of all the themes I've released, with A LOT of manual edits done to make text and other UI elements easier to read.
Full list of changes, including changed resources, available under cut. You can make use of these if you have other CloudUI-generated themes you wish to make changes to. The biggest changes are:
grocery store and lifetime reward menus are more legible;
loading screen text now comes in alternating colors!
various minor changes to make UI elements (age icons, zodiac signs) more readable;
text in other parts of the UI is also more legible.
⚠️I was NOT able to edit the following: color of days of week in Career tab, as well as "Starts in [time]" text. Those are hardcoded. Many thanks to @arro-now for helping me in this finding! Unfortunately, editing these is outside of my expertise, and you won't be able to see the text on the dark themes.
ℹ️ I've removed the previous versions of the themes, so those links are dead and the posts have been edited to redirect to this one. Check the simblr.cc and each theme's folders for updated preview pics! All themes have a "20260211" appended to their filenames so that you know when they were last updated~
Patches remain unchanged BUT I have found that if you have @arro-now's More Clothing Rows v2.1, you don't need the corresponding patch included with these themes!

Nord UI themes (based on @cowplantcartel's Cloud UI)
Update 2026/02/14: themes have been updated, see changes HERE. Old Mediafire and Mega links are dead and have been removed, see below for new ones! Cursors remain unchanged.
(Screenshots presented without Reshade or other editing, aside from cropping. Patches active: Arro Clean Main Menu, cowplantcartel Pretty Pause Frame. The cursors are shown above at various degrees of magnification, from 200-300%.)
Am excited to present to you two themes using the Nord color palette, which I've always liked as it's easy on the eyes. The goal here is to have low contrast between the images of the UI, and high contrast between those and the text, to ensure readability. Along with that, I've made four cursor schemes (using custom PS shapes and drawing by hand) inspired by the same palette.
ℹ️ Use only one UI replacement + one cursor scheme at a time! Of course, you can also use them independently of each other. The theme archives also contain the color codes, so you can fine-tune them to your liking if you wish.
ℹ️ If you are using Arro's More CAS Rows v2.0+, you don't need to also use the respective patch included in this download.
