Until now, Log has never visited his brother's new 'home'; he's never even set foot in the village before. On the occasions when their parent has ventured down to Konohagakure, the idea of having to sit between Konoha Jōnin in a train car on an hours-long trip was enough, on its own, to deter Log from accepting the invitation to come along.
The apartment unit is small. He expected that it would be. Perhaps he should've also expected how plain it would look. White walls, a cold hard floor, white bedding. The only other furniture than the bedside table is the cabinet. With how out of place it appears, Log almost wonders if it'd been brought here from Otogakure. Log frowns. With how stocked it is with Mitsuki's nutritional capsules and supportive medications, it looks as though he'll be set for years.
He has a key, of course, but Log quickly learns that he did not necessarily need to use it. Upon entering the bedroom from the entryway alcove, he sees the open-ajar sliding balcony door and, beside it, the near-empty bowl of cat food. Floating on the surface of the water in the other accompanying bowl is a dry leaf and a few of the blossoms from the wisteria tree outside. These must be for that cat he's head so much about…
Picking up the water dish, Log walks it over to the humble kitchenette on the other side of the room, delicately picking out the plantmatter to toss it in the wastebasket before giving it a thorough rinse and filling it up again. By the time he's returned it to its place in the sun beam on the floor, he hears Mitsuki enter.
