I think a lot about Pennywise's relationship with romance and sexuality ngl. It definitely doesn't feel love in the traditional human sense of the word, but I could imagine them forming strong bonds in the right circumstances

This is actually something I've talked with one of my queerplatonic partners before 😭 I was reading some Penny x Reader fics and there was this specific one that made me have a whole ass emotional moment bc "damn this is just like pookie fr". Then I awkwardly showed it to them and tried explaining that "no I promise its not bc I think you're a freak or anything, it's just the way he acts and the relationship–" just for them to go "oh it just like me fr"

Pennywise very much doesn't love Percy in the same way they do, but that's not a problem for them bc Percy knows that Penny shows them the closest it can get to "love" through actions in its own odd manner (creepy gifts/offerings, biting, bickering) or sometimes by indulging in things that he knows that Percy likes (praise and physical affection). Ultimately it's a relationship that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to other people, but it works for the two of them :p

I think a lot about the fact that LJ was straight up created by AN ACTUAL ANGEL and we never get to mention or see it again?? Abrahamic religions are one of my oldest hyperfixations, and let me tell you a little something... Angels are NOT supposed to create things, especially LIVING AND SENTIENT CREATURES 💀

I do have many thoughts and hcs on what happened regarding that angel. You could go with the "ooooh the angel was actually Lucifer" route but I think that would be kinda predictable and boring? It also implies that Jack was something "created to be evil", and that makes me sad 😔💔

I personally like to believe that LJ was genuinely always meant to be good. He was just the embodiment of a little boy's dream of having a friend, someone created to bring joy and comfort, but ended up becoming a twisted and corrupted version of that bc of all the horrible influences around and overall situation they were forced in.

And the reason for all of that mess is bc an angel was naive enough to make an eternal magical playmate for a child, while not considering the fact that said child would grow up one day.

Sometimes I struggle a lot with writing dialog for Pennywise and LJ simply bc english isn't my first language. I have friends from different countries, so I end up getting some knowledge from them and it all mixes up in a mess of random vocabulary and slang 😭

That added with the fact that I've grown up watching things in my language's dub (including IT) lol

I'm constantly looking up 19th century british slang for Jack and rewatching IT and WTD scenes to try to capture Penny's essence

Because of his fuck ass ragdoll anatomy he was created with no genitals and most of his clothes are sew into his body. During his epic sex arc he spends so much time researching and trying to figure out how to make things work

His final solution was using a seam ripper to carefully undo some of the stitches holding his pants in place, but he only managed to get it down enough for a dick bc that shit was uncomfortable to do!!

Could I just let him take the whole thing off? Yes, but I think it's funnier this way and am a big fan of "the clown costume stays on during sex"

I actually do have some little hcs and thoughts on that regard, so lemme start yapping >:Dc (spoiler: they're all aspec)

Ok, so first for LAUGHING JACK, I see him as Demi AroAce (no gender preference) with some Demiboy vibes? I don't think he really cares about gender that much (considering the fact that he doesn't really have anything going on down there), but "decided" to present as a boy because Isaac was also a boy, and he wanted to match with his best friend! He's pretty used to people using masculine terms and pronouns on him, but won't really complain if you use something else? At most he'll be a little surprised and amused, but in a good way :^)

The sexuality part is a bit more complicated, but mostly because I projected HEAVILY while writing that part of the story, so bare with me 😭 I imagine that he never had any interest in romance, sex or relationships in general, and even after being set free from his box, it wasn't something that actually seemed appealing. Most if not all the relationships he saw growing up were extremely abusive, so he doesn't really have any good examples to look up to. From the limited stuff he had to experience from Isaac's father and Isaac himself later on, sex just seemed... kinda nasty, but not in a fun way (gutting people is way more fun!). So yeah, he kept that mindset throughout the centuries, and never thought too hard about it until a certain annoying little librarian showed up. Jack didn't plan to get attached to Percy at first (his original idea was to mess with them and their nephew to see why Slenderman was so intrigued by them), but one thing led to another and they ended up becoming good friends rather quickly. Those feelings started out platonic, but slowly developed into a little crush that he didn't notice at all. I've kinda talked about this previously here lol

I imagine that one of the other proxies at the mansion had to point that out for him to finally figure out what's happening. There's a bit of denial at first, but it quickly turns into full on infatuation because he's terrible at hiding his feelings lol

Unfortunately for him, Percy is oblivious as shit and assumes he's just being his usual friendly self (plus they're still a bit affected by Pennywise dumping them, so they don't want to assume anything), and they stay in this silent mutual pining that's PAINFUL for everyone present to watch. After they actually get together things become a little more complicated because Jack was so focused on figuring out his romantic feelings that he didn't notice... the other ones.

He's trying so hard not to oogle whenever Percy takes their cardigan off, but he's WEAK!! As I said before, LJ doesn't really have the best experiences with that sort of thing because of Isaac, so it kinda makes him feel nasty for having those thoughts about Percy? He doesn't want to hurt them like that, it feels wrong! What if they get grossed out by him?? He doesn't want that :^(

Eventually they both finally snap out of that and get more comfortable with it, but that's a story for another time :P

Now for PENNYWISE....... Technically speaking, he's unlabeled as hell because those silly human ideas are stupid and it feels above such trivial things. But translating to something more tangible to humans, I hc Penny as somehow on the aspec? It is definitely aromantic and doesn't feel love (or any other emotions honestly) in the same traditional sense as most humans do (totally not projecting my experiences with my queerplatonic partner here). Not entirely sure on the asexual part though? Probably on the spectrum, but nothing set in stone. It has definitely lusted over a few humans through the years though lol

Gender wise? Same logic as before tbh. It has tried out a bit of everything throughout its existence, sometimes fem, sometimes masc, sometimes something entirely new, but ultimately it decided that no human could possibly comprehend something as great as them, so it doesn't particularly care. Tends to use masculine terms and pronouns when talking about itself, but that's mostly because of his clown form and how it's perceived by other people. Other than that, they don't care about what pronouns you use on her, so I personally like to throw around any pronouns (Using she/her for Penny kinda gets me giddy ngl)

For my oc PERCY; it's pretty simple to answer actually, just because they're human and know their queer terminology/labels 😭

But yeah, they're also Demi AroAce (no gender preference) and Nonbinary. Percy very much prefers They/Them pronouns, but considering that they live in a homophobic ass town (Derry) and have a job that requires interacting with a lot of people, they'll also go by She/Her. Funnily enough, they get very surprised when they mention their pronouns to the proxies, and their reactions are just... Chill. No questions asked, they all just use their single communal braincell and go "Oh, like Eyeless Jack" before moving on to something else.

It's both rather ironic and sad that a mansion full of monsters and serial killers is more accepting of them than the town they've lived in for about 2 years :/

Personally in the little AU my friends and I are making, we ended up turning them into "brothers" (or at least the closest way to describe the relationship between two eldritch beings from the same plane of existence, kinda like Pennywise and Maturin from IT)

But again, that's just how *we* are choosing to go with it. I don't mind if people have different interpretations bc as the old saying goes:
