I love Marvus Xoloto as a character. Love his design and the way he behaves makes you question what he knows and I think that's really interesting. But I can't say I'm a Marvus fan because people are either "I like Marvus (I think he's cool)" or "I like Marvus (I carnally desire his boobs in my mouth)" and I think that's terrifying

Silence Sect members take on Vows of Silence, they are masterminds, puppeteers

Circus Sect is rowdy as fuck, party party party. Circus style of course

The Rage Sect gets reeeeal fucking angry real quick, but they can focus that rage better

Insanity, they crazy as fuck, howling at the moon, running around like werewolves at full tilt being psychotic motherfuckers of what you do not know what they will do next

Killer Clown, like a horror movie, they work with Horror and Fear

Fear, more concentrated than Killer Clown, they feed off your fear and use it against youWrath: War waging motherfuckers

Joy: Super fucking happy, they'll make you happy too, Even if you don't want their happy . They will fucking make you dude

Madness: Those who embody the definition of madness, different than Insanity, Madness clowns outbursts are sporadic.

Lust: Focused on sexual bliss, Lust sect is the place brothers and sisters go to worship with their bodies.

Pleasure: Focused on chasing pleasure through pain, a sadomasochistic dream

Laughter: They're similar to Joy Sect, but they'll gladly let you go your own way, just be careful you don't laugh yourself to death.

Horror: They are all mutated or horrific looking in some way to fit their Sect style, they live to place their victims into horrifying situations so the Fear Sect can work with them to finish them off.

Clurch Structure to Me :o)

Been thinking it over and wanted to share my thoughts on the different belief sets that Clurch has (in my au/fanon beliefs).

I do think Clurch is structured like Christianity is today with multiple sects and versions(of which there are 5 main ones that exist on a spectrum). Generally as a caste the ranks go as follows: GHB is the clope. All clowns bow to him and what he says is law, no matter the sect or belief set a clown has. This is then followed by his 5 main advisors. 1 for each main sect of the Clurch. These Clardinals (clown cardinals) are nominated by the Clope and voted for by the other clowns.

The Sects:

These are the 3 main general sects a clown could belong to.

Calliopian Clowns are less bloodthirsty than all other clowns as a whole. This is not to say they would never murder, however. Those they tend to take for their sacrifices are those who have done unmistakably evil deeds(according to that clown) or mean to do wrong to the entire community if not stopped. They lend themselves perfectly to becoming subjuglators and loyalists to the Empire due to these beliefs/if manipulated properly by the Empress. They are very community driven clowns, meeting together more than once a week to help and support one another through sermons and socialization.

The Caretaker's Clowns (those that follow after Gamzee when he was caring for the cherub messiahs) are the second most deadly type of clown. They dedicate themselves to this wicked messiah and love deadly games of chance or saw-esque death games to appease what they see as the Messiah of Chaos and Chance. There is no specific type of victim they gravitate to. These clowns lean closely into their lusci for part of their beliefs is that their Messiah speaks to them through their lusus.

Calibornian Clowns are the most aggressive and ruthless clown type. They thrive in cull rages, seeing them as a gift from Lord Caliborn himself. They are what most other castes think of when they envision being captured by a murderous clown is like. They are quick to rid themselves of any perceived obstacles as long as it is not another clown. Escape is not an option for them when they have set upon someone for the kill, pledging to themselves and Caliborn to have their target's blood spill or have their own spilled as payment. They lend themselves well to becoming subjuglators or decent geneals for an army as they 'play to win' at the cost of their own life otherwise.

The other 2 castes tend to be a mix of 1 or 3 with 2. However these beliefs can still widely differ from clown to clown in these 2 sects.

The adults all have kind of evolved to have a mixture of the main 3 which to the kiddos on-planet looks like a watered-down version if that makes sense. With intergalactic war, they see the use and practices of all 3 and kind of mix and match based on their own experiences. This is the technical sect that GHB mainly oversees and is responsible for.
