to be fair with the whole tara rebecca engagement thing, i dont think the show creators have any clue what the timeline is. its supposed to be continuing from s16 in 2022 but multiple times its referenced being set in our current day. so they may well think the two have been together far longer 😭 even so.

As wholesome as the proposal was, I REALLY just wish it'd happened like... AT LEAST next season 🤨🫠😩

Also, in the scheme of Criminal Minds spouses -- Rebecca will now have a BIGGER target on her when it comes to her chances of dying. Hate to even think that one second after the proposal, but after 20 years of watching this show... they sure do have a pattern.

The funniest thing revealed in the S18 first look photos is that Tyler is obviously on the team now. Apparently a white man just needs to drop a CV by FBI """"HR"""" and he can become a fully qualified special agent without having to do any of that pesky 20-week training. 🤔🧐

MAYBE we're getting a time skip, but surely they're not jumping nearly 5 months time.

Then like the writer's remembered her after years and years of never bringing it up and they just... CHANGED her name???? To ROSLYN???

WHAT THE FUCK. I'm never going to call her Roslyn bc that's NOT HER FUCKIN NAME.

So like newer fans, if y'all come across 'Rosaline' in a fic it's because THATS HER FUCKIN NAME

Today in CM Continuity doesn't exist:

Remember how at the end of S16 Tara tells Rebecca that Bailey is dead and she directly asks Rebecca what Goldstar is and Rebecca's expression turns serious and she says something like "Tara, there are some things I just cannot tell you."

Then in S17 Rebecca (and the DOJ) seem to have NEVER EVEN HEARD of Goldstar 🤔
