Name Meaning(s): Coal be a black lump and it is known to power technology. This matches with what is semblance is (sort of).  

Age: Coal is about 12 years old.

Looks: Black hair, brown eyes, and brown skin. Coal is slightly tall for his age but grows to 6’1”.

Family: Coal is the first son and child of Weiss and Neptune. He has a brother, Copper, who is 3 years younger, and a sister, Crystal, who is 6 years younger. Later, he gains another brother when Zinc, Copper’s twin, more or less comes to live with them.

Coal’s mother is Nila Patel and his father is Kai Pelekai. They have/will remarry, giving Coal some half siblings (unknown how many yet).

Small Bio: Coal was born to two teenage parents. They tried to do what they could to raise a child but they couldn’t. So, they left him at an orphanage in hopes that he will get adopted by someone who can care for him. He was there for the first 4 years of his life before he was adopted by Weiss and Neptune. While there he met a young child named Copper. The two quickly bonded to the point of being practical brothers. Thus, the were adopted together.

Coal, along with Crystal, where the two who were looked to the most to be the heir of the SDC. After Crystal stepped down, Coal was more than willing to become the heir to their mother’s company. Before going to Beacon, at 16, Coal decides to see who their birth parents are and meets them and their younger half siblings. Coal stays in contact with them and has not hard feelings about what they choose to do. When they do go to Beacon, they become the leader of their own team that is made up of their friends Garnet Arc, Lian Belladonna-Xiao Long, and Mocha Adel.

Semblance: Telekinesis over any electronic.  

Personality: Coal is an extremely smart child. He loves to take apart things to see how they work and if he can make them work better (and he also like to build things out of scarps).  He quickly takes charge of things when no one else will step up. He is determined to do things that he sets his mind to.

He can be hard-headed, mischievous, and sometimes cold towards others and can be very sarcastic with his answers. Coal can lose his patience easily with others.

Romo/Sexuality and Gender: Coal is aro/ace and in the canon time, identifies as male. Towards Beacon years, Coal identifies as non-binary and uses They/Them pronouns.

Other facts:

-Coal is deaf in both ears. Some days he wears hearing aids, some days he doesn’t. He can read lips well and can sign.

-Communicates a lot with Yuki so they both can practice how to speak in sign and so they have a buddy who knows what they are saying fluently.

-Besides being the heir to the SDC, Coal creates many new machines for the company.

-His little sister love witches so he once made her a flying broom. Cyrstal still has it and always asks her brother to make it better or fix it and to teacher what to fix it also.

-Doesn’t mind Zinc at first but doesn’t hit it off with him right away either.

10)   What do they want to be when they grow up/what do they want to do with their lives?

When Coal grows up, they are the head of the SDC. While they run that, they also help create new inventions and better what they have already to improve the work place and make work go faster

Copper helps his sibling out with the SDC by working with human/faunus relations. Other than that, his main job is taking care of injured aniamls and releasing them back to the wild. If that doesn’t work he just takes care of them at his own sanctuary.

Crystal when she was a teenager, she told her mom she didn’t want to be the heir to the SDC. Weiss was a bit sadden but let her daughter do what she wants. Crystal probably ends up helping Mocha make clothes and does odd jobs. She really just wants to have fun and out of her siblings, she also does more huntress jobs.

Is the middle child of the ice kids

Is a deer faunus. He is supposed to have deer ears, a teer tail, and two stub of antlers on his head. Based off a red deer

Was adopted by Weiss and Neptune at about 1 year of age

Birth parnets are dead. 

His first name comes from the brown element and his middle name means ‘Red’

Is the only one of the ice kids to have a middle name

Crystal

Is the youngest of the ice kids

Only biological child of Weiss and Neptune

Named after minreal/stone/whatver it is (her actual color is an off white, very pale blue)

Her hair has a tint of blue in it

She is 6 in canon

Neptune: Yeah *shows person pictures of 4 year old Coal* Isn't he cute? And he is the boy he got so close to he called him is brother. His name is Copper. *shows them pcitures of 1 year old Copper* Aren't the the cutest boys ever?

I swear I'll post more kid stuff on the other blog once it starts really going but Garnet and Coal are best friends and for some reason I see, after they get a dressed up and what not by Azure and Crystal, they do something like DDR and are good at it. And when someone asks why they look like they do (because of their sisters) the two say 'Out sisters did this. They like to make us look pretty when we go kick some butt at DDR'

I’ve been thinking more about my rwbabies, mostly about the Neiss kids. Like who will inherit the Schnee dust company:

They all run it together. Like, Coal is more in charge of the creation of things made by the Schnee dust company. Copper does relations because I think if you are this huge of a company you are going to need it, especially with the faunus because of the history (and Copper being a faunus and the peacemaker of the kids). Crystal pretty much does everything else (business related I see) and is more of the ‘heir’ to the Schnee dust company. But when asked she is says ‘I run it with my brothers, it’s not just me’

I still kind of laugh when I think of Garnet and how he had two sisters and three (I'm still debating on the fourth) female cousins. So he sometime just goes to Coal (or Ming) and the others are like 'there there' to Garnet.
