#229 I painted a Cockatrix from CMON’s Massive Darkness miniatures game. I tried to match it to the games’s artwork as best as I could. I kind of like painting minis when I have cards to reference!

So yeah, I thought it would be fun to use @whenyoucreateastory and @nyafox12 's suggestions for smaugust, so this time I picked @nyafox12 idea of an « ice parrot » and made it an « ice parrot dragon », or maybe... an artic cockatrix ? Anyways, it was fun !

FINE. I might have accidentally marathoned the 3rd season.

So what ? I'm an adult, and I am perfectly free, after a buisy week at work, to relax while watching a family friendly show. Yes. YES, I am perfectly RELAXED right now, why?! LOOK AT HOW RELAXED I AM !

Ahem. Sorry. More seriously, I think that, for the rest of “smaugust”, I'll still draw dragons everyday, but take the time I need to try to make an interesting creature design, and to finish the drawings a bit more... rather that rushing sketches with watever comes to my mind. It's more interesting that way for me. I hope you'll enjoy it too !

For those who are interested in my thesis proposal idea.

The basic story is:

A young cockatrice/cockatrix wants to make friends, but it keeps turning everyone it meets into stone. Eventually it finds a gargoyle and turns the gargoyle into stone, but the gargoyle breaks out of the stone each time. The gargoyle and cockatrice start playing around and laughing when the gargoyle breaks out of the stone and BOOM friendship!
