Okay, so let me talk about this for a bit.
I've said time and time again that Modern Warfare 2 has one of the best soundtracks in ALL OF GAMING, and i still maintain that opinion.
Set during the "Enemy of my Enemy" mission, where Price and Soap fight through a field of "dead" airplanes, trying to make it through not only Makarov's ultranationalist forces, but General Shepherd's villainous Shadow Company, to reach Nikolai's C-130.
Prefaced by the previous events of the game (No Russian, finding Price in the Gulag, Russia's push into the United States, Shepherd double crossing Roach and Ghost), you've already got a sense of the stakes entering the mission, but it's music like this, that puts you right in the center of this massive-scale conflict.
It's stuff like this where COD doesn't get enough credit for.
